Five Fountains Apartments - North side of West Dodge Road near 186th Street.
Planning Board Application wrote:In 2005-2006, the Five Fountains subdivision was originally approved to include the subject property (Lot 151) as a platted and R8-zoned lot suitable for development with multifamily residential uses. However, the anticipated development of the site did not occur immediately and in 2009-2010, the site was rezoned from R8 to MU District to allow for the site to be utilized for two true mixed-use buildings. These buildings were approved for two floors of office, two floors of apartments, and underground structured parking. The proposed buildings totaled nearly 52,000 square feet, including 54 residential units.
The applicant has indicated that this type of mixed use development is not feasible and instead proposes a more traditional multifamily residential development concept consisting of 132 one and two-bedroom apartments in two structures, including 220 structured and surface parking stalls. The proposed office uses have been eliminated from plans. The applicant has requested that the property be rezoned to revert back to the originally approved R8 District to allow for development of the site.
Dirt is being moved on these lots. Does anyone know what's going on? Is it these apartment buildings that are being built? I drove by and there are signs in the middle of the dirt lots that have Building Addresses.
