Nebraska Outlasts No. 20 Kansas in 3OT
Huskers hand Jayhawks their first loss of the season

The weather outside may have been frightful, but the environment inside Pinnacle Bank Arena was so delightful for Nebraska women's basketball. The Huskers stunned No. 20 Kansas 85-79 in triple overtime. The loss is the first of the season for the Jayhawks. "Lots of emotion," Nebraska head coach Amy Williams said. "We showed great mental toughness. The difference may have been a little bit of depth in overtime."

I saw it was close late, looked for it but didn't find a channel that had it on. Probably should have checked ESPN+. I don't have BTN+. 3 OT's, a classic.

Nebraska Public Media (over-the-air channel 26.1) had the game. I think they had the Wyoming game last weekend, too. To stream it, I think it was on BTN+ but only if you're a subscriber.

We should have beat #4 Indiana on the road. Just 5-9 from the free throw line, and not a single FT attempt in OT.

Nebraska Falls Apart in Second Half but Survives Michigan State
Turnovers again plagued the Huskers

Despite seeming to have the game in hand, Nebraska women's basketball gave Husker fans a stressful Thursday evening. The Huskers had to hold on down the stretch to beat Michigan State 71-67 at Pinnacle Bank Arena. The win pushed NU to 13-9 on the year, including 5-6 in the Big Ten Conference.

Huskers Avoid Late Disaster in Win at Northwestern
Trouble with the press again led to turnovers and a late rally from the Big Red opponent

For the second consecutive game, Nebraska women's basketball needed to hold on late after dominating much of the contest. Nebraska (14-9, 6-6 Big Ten) grabbed just its third road victory of the season with a 78-66 win Monday night at Northwestern. The Huskers could not have had a better start. Big Red made 5-of-6 3s as part of a 30-point first quarter. Nebraska was up 20-3 at one point during that scorching start.

Nebraska Disappears in Second Half in Loss to Illinois
A seven-minute scoreless stretch hurt the Huskers at home

Poor play in the second half had to catch up to Nebraska women's basketball eventually. The Huskers shot three times as many free throws, made more three-pointers, and went under their season average for turnovers but lost at home 72-64 to Illinois. Nebraska is now 14-10 on the year and 6-7 in the Big Ten Conference.

Record Crowd Not Enough for Nebraska in Loss to No. 7 Iowa
More than 14,000 filled PBA as the Huskers fell to rival Hawkeyes

new Nebraska women's basketball home crowd record saw the Huskers hold their own against No. 7 Iowa for a time, but ultimately the best player in the country propelled the visitors to a victory. Iowa pulled away in the second half to leave Lincoln with an 80-60 victory Saturday. The loss drops Nebraska to 14-13 on the season and 6-10 in the Big Ten Conference. Nebraska, with plenty of Iowa fans on hand to help, put together a Pinnacle Bank Arena record crowd for a Husker women's basketball game with 14,289 in attendance.

Nebraska Keeps Tournament Hopes Alive With Trouncing of No. 25 Illinois
Jaz Shelley leads Husker women with 26 points in road upset

Entering Wednesday night’s contest, Nebraska women's basketball had lost four straight games and was on the outside looking in at the NCAA tournament, according to ESPN Bracketology. The Huskers held an opportunity to get their season back on track and resurrect their tournament hopes as they faced No. 25 Illinois on the road, and they took advantage. The Huskers played arguably their most complete game of the season as they defeated Illinois 90-57. Nebraska moves to 15-13 (7-10 Big Ten) on the year as the Illini drop to 20-8 (10-8).

Nebraska Women’s Basketball Ends Regular Season With Senior Day Win
Huskers carry momentum into Big Ten Tournament after 80-64 victory over Northwestern

Nebraska women's basketball capped off its regular season Sunday with an 80-64 victory over the Northwestern Wildcats. With the win, the Huskers are 16-13 (8-10 Big Ten) going into the Big Ten Tournament this week. It was Senior Day at Pinnacle Bank Arena, and Issie Bourne, Jaz Shelley and Sam Haiby were honored after the Big Red victory. The trio stepped up big time for the Huskers, combining for 43 of NU’s 80 points and leaving a lasting impression in what could be the last time the three play in front of Husker Nation.

Amy Williams daughter also signed to play for Nebraska today too. Sounds like Amy has never coached her before (but has been coached by her Dad). She's going to be a dual sport athlete, also playing softball.

Jaz Shelley was 1 of 50 players named to the Wooden Watch list. She is also 1 of 20 shooting guards nationally in the hunt for the Ann Meyers-Drysdale Award, was a preseason first-team All-Big Ten selection, and was also a first-team All-Big Ten guard last season.

Unfortunately, she was injured early last night and ended the night in boot.

Tough loss. Jaz Shelley played hurt and came off the bench. 2-11 in 33 minutes, including 1-8 from three. If she were healthy, I think Nebraska would be 4-0 right now.
