I might be slow grasping this rumor, but what is the connection between Medical Solutions and One Medical? I would not think they would locate in the same development unless they were affiliated. Also, I am not aware of a local presence for One Medical and I just don't see them opening an office in Omaha (I hope I'm wrong). On the other hand, I 100% could see Medical Solutions moving to The Merchantile.nebport5 wrote: Tue Jan 10, 2023 10:23 amDoctor Fate wrote: Mon Jan 09, 2023 10:24 pmStothert reiterated on Grow Omaha that several developers want a full service grocery store in their development. We have been told that Medical Solutions will likely be moving their nearly 1000 employee Omaha staff into The Mercantile development..
Perhaps this is the medical component nedodger12 was referencing several posts back..

Does that possibly include a butter churn?
To douse gas on the D.T. grocery rumors...nearly 1000 more people got to eat somewhere! No?
If Medical Solutions is the medical company that npdodger referenced earlier and One Medical does come to the Mercantile like they said, I would bet One Medical would be on the ground floor of the residential tower as they have done in other cities like KC.
In that case what better place for One Medical folks to reinvest their paychecks than at Amazon Fresh.

Which is why when the Cryptic Rumor Department presented me this intel, it was also communicated that perhaps Medical Solutions is the “health” component here as opposed to One Medical which was posted by nedodger12 a week or so ago…

I am late to the Medical Solutions party, but I find this rumor interesting on a couple fronts. Wasn't there a rumor at some point that Medical Solutions was destined to be the major tenant at Crossroads? If that was the case and if this rumor is true, Crossroads just lost a huge tenant, and what happens there? Second, I thought I had read recently that Medical Solutions has a primarily remote workforce (hence C&A Industries building on West Dodge has been vacant since the acquisition). This isn't necessarily directed at your Cowboy, but does someone have insight on the current/future work policies for Medical Solutions?Omaha Cowboy wrote: Mon Jan 09, 2023 9:47 pm The Cryptic Rumor Department has delivered some news along the ConAgra Campus development front-

What I can say, based on feedback from the Cryptic Rumor Department, is that Medical Solutions has decided to switch gears from a potential Crossroads location..and will now move to the Mercantile. Don’t have an answer for your question regarding Medical Solutions current/future work policies..But I do have information, from VERY reliable sources, that Medical Solutions now plans to locate at The Mercantile development..ita wrote: Fri Jan 13, 2023 10:25 amI am late to the Medical Solutions party, but I find this rumor interesting on a couple fronts. Follow up question. Didn't the original plan already include event space? It was planned for the end of Farnam on the HOA lakeshore. Are you talking about another event space?

New event space is for hotel and will include both indoor and elevated outdoor space. I can’t give more info on SFAB, but it’s going to be sweet!

The Army's Security Force Assistance Brigade is building a top secret yet sweet office space in downtown Omaha? Did they ensure the garage structure is tall and wide enough to park fit all the Humvees and tanks?

Here, here, here. I got it. SFAB isn't a literal acronym but code. Broad Sustainable Building in China does those prefab high rises. S (sustainable) FAB (prefrabricated). No only is the Mercantile going to have the tallest mass timber building in Omaha, it will also have the tallest prefabricated one! Haha.

Wow, didn't know about small format Targets. Looks like they dropped that moniker back in 2015, but they are still doing the small format stores, near colleges or in urban centers. That would be a very nice addition to downtown and making it more livable.almighty_tuna wrote: Fri Jan 20, 2023 12:45 pm I'm going with City Target. Those stores are generally in that size range.

The amount of mocking/negativity in this post is kinda sad tbh. I know it's just joking around but It's a "rumor" forum - what do people expect?? That doesn't mean what's being reported is untrue but until something offical comes out (if it ever does), take it for what it is - a "rumor" that we all hope is true.
I'm guessing this person (or the person providing the info) has signed an NDA so they have to be EXTREMELY careful with what they say. Projects get pushed back all the time - especially these days. Again, it doesn't mean it's untrue. Now if we are still talking about this 2 years from now and nothing has happened, sure - then mock away and doubt.

Re: Conagra Campus Residential
It comes from having repeatedly been fed rumors of incredibly exciting projects that have turned out to be completely false and only posted for the poster's amusement. Working in an industry adjacent to real estate development and land use planning, the projects detailed in this rumor as well as the supposed timeline of announcements and construction milestones have thrown a lot of red flags for me as being improbable. That said its possible there are components that are not being explained well by the poster.stormchaser wrote: Fri Jan 20, 2023 4:37 pm The amount of mocking/negativity in this post is kinda sad tbh.
