Nobbies announced their closing

The former Nobbies store in Bel Air Plaza will be converted into an indoor entertainment center with a full restaurant and bar. Worley Enterprises, which operates Prehistoric Putt and Medieval Putt, bought the 32,000 sq. ft. building, according to Todd Schneidewind and Bryan Hartmann of NAI NP Dodge, who represented the buyer. Worley Enterprises is currently developing The Fat Putter at 10th & Capitol Avenue. Once that business opens, renovations will start on the Nobbies building. Opening will likely be in 2024.

This will be a big place. Very cool! They do a great job with theming! For some reason, I thought Pirate Putt in Council Bluffs was part of this group. They would always display in on the TV at Prehistoric Putt as one of the locations. Did they sell that one off?

Interesting, says 12100 W Center Road, Suite 901, which puts it in that building immediately north of the Arcade.

Also interesting that I still haven't seen a name for the arcade. It was announced back in September.

Yeah, I thought the old Nobbies was going to turn into some type of "adult" putt putt place... with beer, etc. Is it no longer the case and simply turning into another Prehistoric Putt?

My guess is they are moving - it’s not too far from the current location, and this would be significantly more visible.

I do remember the talk about this having a bar included though. May still be the case - Fat Putter is owned by the same group. Maybe they’re converting Prehistoric Putt to something more akin to that at the same time as the move?

When you look at competition of axe bars, bowling alleys and Big John's, there is a definite need for a liquor license.
