Omaha- Top 25 city with most satisfied workers

From the Economic Research area of Glassdoor- Omaha clocks in at 16th. Don’t know that I’m too thrilled with the short article minimizing Omaha in as a “smaller city” on the list with Ann Arbor MI and Provo UT (which Omaha is significantly larger than)- but in any case, interesting info..

Omaha is probably for much of the country what Ogden is to me.

All I know of Ogden is that it is in Utah, and apparently those there like it.

Overall though, I think this list makes sense. SF, Austin, Omaha, Miami, MSP, Seattle, HNL, and NYC are all just amazing cities in their own rights.

Gainesville and Fayetteville surprise me though.

Just googled it. It appears to be a Suburb of SLC, with a slightly larger population than Bellevue here.

And it looks lively and decently dense. I wish Bellevue looked and felt half as nice and zooming around on Google Maps in Ogden did.

Just googled it. It appears to be a Suburb of SLC, with a slightly larger population than Bellevue here.

And it looks lively and decently dense. I wish Bellevue looked and felt half as nice and zooming around on Google Maps in Ogden did.

I currently live in a suburb of Ogden, which is not a suburb of SLC though it is part of the CSA. I used to live in downtown SLC. While my wife and I dont like Utah and will be moving back to DC soon, I would argue that Provo is the worst of the Utah rang cities.

Ogden has only one major freeway, I-15, that goes north/south. I have never seen a bus, let alone BRT. The Ogden metro is basically a collection of small towns that all grew together (and it definitely feels like a small town everywhere) but have their own mayor, city utilities, city councils, police and fire departments, etc. There isn't really any cohesion or effort to work together for development of any kind. The closer to SLC you get, the more urban it feels.

All I remember about Ogden is back when I used to mail my 1040EZ in for taxes (1990s) it was mailed to Ogden, UT. So, I'm guessing the IRS is one of the bigger employers there.

Ogden doesn't really have much at all lol. But I have found people up here to be much more accepting than in Provo, though significantly less than in SLC.
