Vasa Fitness / Kipp (144th & Center - Old Shopko)

Does anybody know what is going on at 144th & Center with the old Kmart? The building has been vacant for years but I drove by recently and they've got about 20 of those FoxBox portable storage containers in the parking lot and it looks like the building is undergoing a buildout.

There are so many "PODS" sitting in the parking lot there that I thought at least a portion of this space was going to become another self storage of some sort.

Thankfully it's another car wash, though. I was concerned we didn't have enough in the metro already. I mean the one down on 140th & Center back by Ace Hardware is totally out of the way from 144th & Center.

Guess I didn't get the memo that said I should be throwing money into the car wash industry! LOL

I'm curious to see how they repurpose the building into a car wash, only because every other carwash being built has the same general design.

If you drive up near the building there's a small sign that says something along the lines of that being a main office/shipping receiving location for Rocket.

I’m excited that Vasa Fitness is coming! They’re all over in Denver so would imagine we will be seeing a few more of these pop up around town.

Something is finally happening with the empty unit that is supposed to be a car wash. Looks like they cut the wall to add doors up front. There were quite a few worker people there the other day.

There's a trailer on the east side of the building that says this space is going to be a KIPP, Kid's Indoor Play Park. I'm not familiar with them.

Signage is up. Someone lookup who owns it. I wonder if it's still the Tactical Signal 88 people.
