With KIA moving out to I-80 & 370, what will happen with their property at 84th & F?

It would be really cool if a significant building (residential/hotel/office) were built on that site, thereby starting a trend of mid-high rises along I-80 like West Dodge west of 132nd. I think that would have a huge impact on the perception of Omaha as people drive through.

I doubt anything significant could be done, but one can dream…

Agree that's a high visibility location hate to waste it with some drab looking structure.

Cruisers Bar & Grill at 87th & F (formerly Governor's Bar & Grill) has closed. The landlord wants the unit for office space and so didn't renew their lease. Rumor has it the other tenants were complaining about the lunch crowd hogging the parking lot. Honestly, the building looks more like a retail stripmall than an office building.

odd. felt like that was about all that strip mall had going for it. I think on the West side it was more office like.

Just glancing at google maps it looks like all of the other tenants in the building are medical service offices: Sync Medical Clinic, Medical Fitness Solutions, Horizon Rehab Physical Therapy, and CompChoice Occupational Health Services. Given the clientele those businesses bring in, I can see their frustration with lack of parking. I'm guessing something more like these is what they mean by "office space", not necessarily something full of offices and cubicles closed off to the public.
