Jake Waters has a free-agent deal with the Seattle Seahawks. Don't think he will get any playing time under Russel Wilson but when 2nd string QB Tavaris Jackson recently suffered a severe ankle sprain, it opened the door for Waters to sign.

Jake Waters was cut by Seattle. It is expected that Tavaris Jackson should be ready to play soon.

A national championship game is a familiar spot for Iowa Western football. The Reivers have made it each of the last two years, including winning it all last year. On Wednesday they’ll make their third appearance in a row and are looking to go back to back… and bring a third NJCAA title to Council Bluffs.

I watched the first half of the game, and it just looked like they were firing on all 8 pretty much from the get go. There were a couple good defensive stops by EM, but it was a lot like last year's Georgia/TCU game, and Iowa Western just ran away with it.

Yep I have been to a couple games. I had a good time. They play home games at Lewis Centrals field. They have a pretty decent tailgate area that seems pretty popular

Iowa Western football entering national title game with chance to make history

Iowa Western is playing Hutchinson in the championship tonight on ESPNU at 7:30. Former IA St qb Hunter Dekkers is the for Iowa Western. They are trying to 3-peat.

Iowa Western is up 14-0 after 1st quarter

#3 Hutchinson settles down after being down 17-7 at halftime and scores 21 unanswered points in the third and pull off the upset of #1 IWCC 28-23 to take the crown.

I watched part of the game and IW was up early and then momentum took a big swing. IW did have a chance to win it but couldn't get the TD on the last drive,
