Re: Two Fine Irishmen (18101 R Plaza)
the latest on this amazing new Club 180 if anyone cares… guess the business owner jacked with the electricity somehow that it affected the entire strip of businesses and OPPD turned off the power to all bays.
So the place that my wife goes to to get her nails done is right next door & they have no power. They’re unable to provide their services to customers, right before Christmas which is one of their busiest holiday seasons.
And they (OPPD) can’t track down the property owner. Not sure about the rest of you but this is complete BS. Regardless of the business type it’s absolutely ridiculous that a new tenant could have this type of negative impact on other business owners before they’ve even opened their doors.
The sign outside still says Two Fine… at this point I hope whoever is trying to open turns around and walks away. Total jackassery…

FWIW assuming they can prove it, the landlord and the other tenants' insurance companies should be able to go after them for losses.
Stable genius.

Re: Two Fine Irishmen (18101 R Plaza)
I have a friend that knows the owner, one of the tenants keeps trying to turn them in for work without permits. This last time, the inspector came in, did the third inspection, said the tenant did not need permits for anything they are doing and when the inspector looked out back, he saw the electrical grid was outdated and said the whole building needed to be shut down and the grid updated (landlord’s fault). So the tenant that called them in was the one that caused all of this for the rest of the businesses. OPPD said that they have never seen this happen before, they have never shut down a whole building over this issue. They state that they usually just cite the landlord to fix the repairs.

Re: Two Fine Irishmen (18101 R Plaza)
Wouldn’t the only reason the complete electrical system would require an update is due to modifications being completed that were unauthorized? I mean you don’t see inspectors randomly popping into business or homes to simply say your panel is outdated or incorrect.
Generally speaking you’re grand-fathered in based upon the rules or codes that applied at the time the building was constructed. Regardless of those conditions seems like the new business hasn’t helped the other tenants up to this point. Honestly you can’t bale them for not being fans since the owner seems to stay under the radar, won’t take part in interviews and threw up a website for their new business that was probably created in 15 minutes on Go Daddy.
Why are they in such a hurry to open their doors anyway? They haven’t even changed the signage. They’re not doing themselves any favors by trying to do everything on the sneak.

Re: Two Fine Irishmen (18101 R Plaza)
Just watched KETV's story on Club 180's amazing job of getting power killed to the entire strip mall. If I owned a business adjacent to this proposed place I'd be going after the owners for loss. Physical Therapy, Farrell's Body/Gym, Nail Experts plus the montessorri at the opposite end. The entire strip has been without power for 5 days now. That's ludicrous.
Regardless of the who called who argument, the councilman stated on the news it's because of Club 180 that this has happened to all of the other businesses.
Also, the news said they texted the phone # on the website for Club 180 and they claimed they were open this past weekend. So let me get this straight - they have no electricity, which means no heat and they were open for business? IF that's true they can get fined for being open in an unsafe facility.
I really feel for those other businesses - they didn't ask for this scenario.

Don't they charge for memberships? In which case, they're a private club not a a business open to the public. So, some of those rules don't apply.djc311 wrote: Tue Dec 26, 2023 4:11 pm Also, the news said they texted the phone # on the website for Club 180 and they claimed they were open this past weekend. I suppose nothing is stopping them from hauling in a few generators to run space heaters and lighting.

Strip mall in Millard goes days without power, Club180 one of businesses affected
A Millard strip mall had its power shut off Friday after OPPD found electrical violations. It's the same strip mall that houses the now-open strip club "Club180." Businesses in the strip mall had signs on their doors Tuesday alerting customers that they were closed due to not having power.
City Councilman Don Rowe, who represents the area the strip mall is in, said inspectors and OPPD found violations inside and outside the building. According to Rowe, they were looking at the strip mall after concerns of electrical work being done inside one of the businesses.

Right?! I guess everyone should be happy as the strip had their power turned back on today. Because of the |expletive| hole trying to open up, everyone else was “punished”.
Someone said the power issue wasn’t due to this new club performing work in their bay. However that’s exactly why the center”s power was turned off.

Re: Two Fine Irishmen (18101 R Plaza)
Another feature story on the neighborhood's latest business addition:
https://www.wowt.com/2023/12/29/omaha-b ... neighbors/
I get it - honestly, I do. Free speech, protected business type, etc. But I do agree with many of the concerns that were presented at the meeting the story references. For example who polices the alcohol consumption inside if they don't sell it? Someone that's legally old enough to drink brings in a case of beer and 18 year old kids drink it. Who's in charge of watching that? Are the club owners suppose to play mommy and daddy (in a strip club)?
My two big buggaboos with this whole thing are below:
- Obviously the new business owner decided to perform renovations without permits which shouldn't be permitted to happen (and apparently it wasn't allowed). At the same time, their deception and ignorance cost other small business owners in the same center to lose profit. That's directly on the strip club owner; if they wouldn't have performed this work then it would never have become an issue
- The story mentions an "eviction notice" is making its way through the courts as we speak. HTF did this new business get to even happen if the owner of the property didn't know about it or want it there? Are you seriously able to take over via sub-lease someone else's commercial bay without the building owner's knowledge and approval? I've rented commercial space and unless the people that owned Two Fine were going to remain as the primary tenants, they would have to go through credit checks, background checks, change utilities over to the proper responsible party, etc.
It doesn't make sense that it would get this far and then have to ask them to be evicted. As a matter of fact I would think if this is all being done under Two Fine's name and ownership then the building owner could immediately demand a cease and desist for breaking the original contract that said they were going to be a bar and grill (as these are not one in the same).
Regardless of people's personal views and opinions when someone comes into the picture and does everything they possibly can to be deceptive and shady when trying to open their business then they're asking for pushback and a fight. I have no empathy for the people running this place - because if this is protected under the first amendment then if they're not breaking any laws why be so crooked about it?
Honestly I'm surprised it's gotten this far if the building owner legitimately doesn't want them there.
Why don't they go open in a mixed-use development that caters to landscapers and sign companies? Seriously you're not trying to promote the business with signage (they don't even have their own sign) and certainly not going to gain a lot of walk-in business from the montessori.

Re: Two Fine Irishmen (18101 R Plaza)
People can do as they wish - if they follow certain rules or restrictions. Can't remodel your own commercial space. And apparently in this case the landlord didn't even know these guys were trying to convert TF into a strip club. Not sure how likely that is because I still don't understand how you take over a commercial bay without the property owner knowing about it, but hey anything can happen.
What it boils down to in this particular case is if the building owner doesn't want them in the strip mall (pun intended) then they shouldn't be allowed to be there. Like I said before, go open the nudey bar over on Storage Road off of 180th or something. No one would likely ever complain.

But that was my question as well! I understand people fly under the radar all the time, but this had to happen by being the shadiest of shady. My assumption is TF owners abruptly closed down (which they did) by sticking a crappy note on the door telling their employees they are no longer employed. They had a plan already in place to partner with or change hands with the Club 180 ppl. Behind the scenes they are either part owners of the now famous Club 180 or they simply did it all through backdoor transactions with whoever the owner is.
Either way, IF the landlord is legit not aware of this I would think they could go in and demand it close now. What protections should the shady business owner(s) have for the new place when they didn't even let the building owner know what was going on?
The arguments from area residents that complain about it being by a high school, day care, etc are valid concerns IMO. But they also live near commercial property that may be able to legally and rightfully operate these types of businesses. However, if the owner of the building isn't supportive of it then it shouldn't be allowed. That's all there is to it and I would think any real estate attorney would argue to the same.

The landlord will probably succeed in evicting them, but I'm going to laugh at all this NIMBY nonsense until the very end.

'I think the judge made the wrong decision:'
Judge rules that Club180 can stay open
A controversial establishment in west Omaha is here to stay. Club180, a strip club at 180th and Q, where the landlord and neighbors have tried to push them out, but after a judge's decision, the club can stay. Neighbors like Wendy Sullivan aren't happy about who's now allowed to stick around. "I think the judge made the wrong decision," Sullivan said. Although the old signage is still up, Club180 used to be Two Fine Irishmen, which was a bar and grill that had a liquor license.

Maybe the new club can just remove the “Irishmen” portion of their signage and leave it at that.
And I wonder how much use their outdoor patio will be getting?
Seriously though, if enough horned up adult men exist in and near Millard they will probably reach a critical enough mass of patrons to make a go of it. If not, it could always revert back to being an Irish themed restaurant. Perhaps it could be rebranded as “Bangers”?

Re: Club180 (formerly Two Fine Irishmen) (18101 R Plaza)
Haven't heard any chatter about this place in some time - I assume it's still open as they have a very professional piece of paper in the window that clearly advertises "Club 180".
Two Fine's sign (pun intended) is still on the building. I imagine this is due to the owners being too cheap to replace it (because I don't see them opening a strip club and then trying to accommodate the neighbors by NOT putting up a sign that advertises their business).
Honest question - has anyone gone inside, as I have not. I assume there are poles, stages and the like. Perhaps some rooms.
Rent has to be about $4000-$5000/month given the location and size; I can't imagine they're making bank, but what do I know.
My wife goes to the nail place next door - I know they're not fans of it, and I wouldn't be either, if my business was there first and then basically forced to accept them as neighbors. She hasn't mentioned anything so I don't know if they bring it up or not.

Neighbors, dancers and security guards file $10 million lawsuit against west Omaha's Club 180
https://www.ketv.com/article/omaha-club ... t/64358406
Of course these are simply accusations at this point in time, but it does appear a former employee (assuming a bouncer) has video evidence of at least some of the claims. Other employees claiming payroll/wage theft, coke in the business, etc. Doesn't look too good.
Won't be sad if this gets shut down.
I can see why they didn't bother buying a new sign for the place; maybe they were expecting a short term residency. LOL

If Club180 isn't shut down YET, you might have a chance to get what you're looking for there.ProgKingHughesker wrote: Tue Apr 08, 2025 5:07 pm Why do I only learn where the hookers and blow are after the place is closed?

Gosh... I really thought this place would be quite classy, given the fact they spent all that money to change out the signage, etc.

Can this all be exaggerated and not true? I suppose there's a "chance", but I find it interesting there are so many different parties involved in this lawsuit now.
IMO, the most surprising thing about this place is that apparently they are still open. If they had proof of at least some of these claims actually being true, I would think the city and/or authorities would have charged someone with something or closed their doors.

Yeah I don't think they have got into any legal trouble over this have they? So far isn't it just a lawsuit? I don't remember seeing anything about charges being brought up against the club or employees.

Of course it could be exaggerated, anyone can file a lawsuit claiming anything.djc311 wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 7:08 am Gosh... I really thought this place would be quite classy, given the fact they spent all that money to change out the signage, etc.

I read on the link posted in the Krush thread that the attorney that brought this lawsuit up is Evan Spencer. Seems like he has a weird history in these types of matters:

Maybe I can be added - I've driven by it a few times, I've picked up pizza from the Little Caesars in the same plaza. I think I've experienced trauma.OmahaRedWing wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 11:22 am I read on the link posted in the Krush thread that the attorney that brought this lawsuit up is Evan Spencer. Was the trauma from Club 180 or Little Caesars?djc311 wrote: Wed Apr 23, 2025 11:30 amMaybe I can be added - I've driven by it a few times, I've picked up pizza from the Little Caesars in the same plaza. Re: Club180 (formerly Two Fine Irishmen) (18101 R Plaza)
And here it is... (Krush) https://www.ketv.com/article/krush-plan ... l/64582752
So if they claim they still require a license, how the **** does Club180 get to operate? They claim the process will "take months", therefore I can't imagine CLub180 actually did the same.
Regardless of they type of environment, I do feel if someone is allowed to consume alcohol inside a business, they should require some sort of permit to do so. Obviously there's some sort of loop hole these places where they skirt the issue.
