Rally House

Post by Greg S »

I was making a purchase yesterday at the Rally House at Shadow Lake. Was talking with I believe the manager about stuff they had coming in. She mentioned there's a 3rd location coming to the Metro (they also have one in CB at Metro Crossing). She said it will be at L St Marketplace. Sounds like it's a done deal as she mentioned it could be open within a month or so. I would imagine they'd definitely want that to capitalize on the start of football season.

Sounds like they may not stop at 3 either.

That is good to hear. I have not been to their local ones yet but seem to make a stop each time in KC. Like that place.

A quick Google search shows it will be at 12240 K Plaza C1 -- which I think puts it in the previous Geico office, in between Buffalo Wings & Rings and I Love Pad Thai. That same Google search says it opens August 18. So your intel is right!

I'd noticed their logo on the monument sign along I Street a couple of weeks ago and was curious where exactly it was going in at, because at that time there wasn't a sign on a building yet. Your post reminded me to search :D

One bit of advice if you shop at Rally House. Join Rally Rewards. There should be a place to put in your email at the bottom. Eventually it will have a place to build a profile. Two reasons for this, you get specials periodically (a 25 off coupon on your birthday for sure) and I got 25 off coupons for each of the two stores they opened here. Assuming they will do the same for L St Marketplace.

The other reason is it will add your zip code. The store manager told me that's how they decide where to put new stores.

I like the merchandise Rally House carries but good lord it is expensive and you can find it much cheaper online at Fanatics or other sites like that.

The "coming soon" signs are up on this. It's located on the strip attached to Target between Ulta Beauty and Five Below in a space that previously was just a couple small windows (the half of the bay that Five Below didn't use).

I went and checked it out this weekend. Definitely seems to be the biggest of the 3 in this area. Very large selection of Husker and Bluejay stuff and more UNO than their other stores as well.

Now they just need to add stores to Central O and one out west north of Dodge.

What are the prices like? Are they similar to Scheels? I used to go to Scheels if I wanted sports gear quickly, but they have increased their prices quite a bit.

They are probably close to Scheels, Husker Hounds, college bookstore range. One thing I would recommend it getting in their email list/rewards program. They will send coupons for your birthday, new store openings and a few times through out the year. I always make sure to use these.

Nice to see them expanding in this area. They mentioned to me at the L St store that they are not done opening new store in Omaha either.

One thing that they do that is different from others. If you order from them online and have it shipped, it comes straight from one of their stores, not a warehouse. Whichever store has the biggest supply of an item and the slowest sales of it gets the order. Keeps merchandise moving and they don't have to have a big warehouse.

They delivered on what they told me at the L Street store. Not done expanding in Omaha. Grow Omaha announced Saturday that Rally House is opening their 4th Omaha area store at Westroads in August.

I would think Nebraska Crossing would be a consideration for them. Get some customer base that will not be at the other new locations and not a real direct store like them at NC. Sure, some stores cross over a little but they have their own niche.

This lady is not happy working at Shadow Lake Rally House. Sounds like they had a flood. About 2/3 of the way through she says they are closing the SL location and opening in Gretna.

It was actually a burst sewage pipe that flooded not only Rally House, but also Famous Footwear and Ulta. All three stores were closed initially. And all three are now open again.

I have a son that works PT at a Rally House. He said they restocked the one in Shadow Lake and there are no plans to close it. He did say it sounds like one will go to Gretna (and more in the Omah area as they are not done expanding and doing well).

She kind of came off as a bit off. I did ask my son more on Gretna and it does sound like a done deal. Also said that won't be the last either. More to come.

Do you have any idea where in Gretna? It seems like a fit for Nebraska Crossing, but there are a lot of other new options in the area, too.

Yep, Nebraska Crossing and it will open in the next few months, most likely this summer.

FWIW, I just got a note that the store at Shadow Lake is having a grand reopening event tomorrow, so I guess the lady in that TikTok video was mistaken about it closing.

Saw a post by the Lerner Co that Rally House is having a grand opening in Ames IA.

They really seem to be growing. Hope they can handle the expansions

The Nebraska Crossing store opens September 5.

Also, Rally House continues to grow in Nebraska. They recently purchased the 2 "Best of Big Red" stores in Lincoln from Tom Osborne and his family. One is in the Haymarket the other is in Lincoln's Clocktower Shopping Center (not to be confused with Clocktower in Omaha).

Yeah, it was open Saturday. We walked through it quick while we were out there shopping. I'd say it's 90-95% Husker stuff -- there's one little corner with a mix of Royals and Bluejay stuff. No UNO, no general (non sports) Nebraska gift stuff. Makes sense given where it is but it's very different from their other stores in the metro. The complete lack of Chiefs stuff was the most surprising, mostly because that's like 30% of the store at Shadow Lake.

Their store on 120th & L St also has several other teams covered. Obviously they're pushing Huskers since they're right off I80. You would think they'd cover at least a little UNO, Chiefs, etc.

I was in the new Rally House at Nebraska Crossing on Labor Day. First it was bigger than I expected it to be.

There is a lot of Husker stuff but the statement that there is really nothing else is not correct. There was a Section for the Chiefs, Royals, Iowa, Creighton, and I believe Iowa State for sure. Don't recall if I saw any Omaha section.

I finally stopped by and agree. Saw everything you mentioned (really good Chiefs selection) and also some Storm Chasers stuff and UNO. Also did see some Omaha and Lincoln stuff.
