I do not understand how Oklahoma City, OK is number 16, with scores:

The score looks much higher for Omaha than Oklahoma City, with a much higher quality of life than OKC, except for 1 point more in value.

It's still nice to see our Nebraska cities move up the list, especially Omaha making the biggest jump (28 spot jump) out of the 4 cities. Though Des Moines had a big drop in spots (-36 spot drop)....

In all seriousness though, these “rankings” fluctuate so wildly year by year, it’s best not to take them seriously..

Ironically, I came across this year's ranking, through Axios (DSM), Axios is a bit concerned on Des Moines -36 drop and their defense is that tourism is up, maybe they are overlooking that metrics in other areas are considered. There are reports of their Skywalk system being shut down at night, and stinky miscellenous buckets having to be cleaned up. I recently visited Des Moines and I didn't see a boom of construction projects, except for the market distric, which will take a decade or so.

Of course these stats are pure entertainment. As Naples has become more expensive, yet they rank Naples with a better value this year, Naples moved from 6th to 1st, yeah right; what an overrated place.

Still it's nice publicity to see Omaha near the top and move many places compared to our peers and it's not just this source other stats and sources also indicate Omaha moving in a positive trajectory.
