Soil sampling means prepping for site prep is underway. IE the med center is spending $50 million to make sure they can actually do this expansion and if for whatever reason it’s a no, there’s still an easy off ramp before spending $1.2 billion.Doctor Fate wrote: Fri Aug 23, 2024 12:39 amDoes soil testing mean site prep is officially underway?

The tower crane is for the garage. There is a crawler crane setting steel for the admin building.Brad wrote: Fri Aug 23, 2024 5:16 pmI guess I’m not sure. Buildings along Leavenworth around Barrett's Barleycorn are demolished, leaving big holes in the ground. Is that just for future development?

I just noticed that there were 2 houses on the south side of Leavenworth that have also been demolished. Just looked them up and they were owned by the Univ too. I didn't realize they were buying houses on that side too.

They announced earlier this week they will tear down 4 houses on the south side of Leavenworth. In the meantime all the properties they tear down on both sides of Leavenworth are to be landscaped.

Drake Williams was awarded the steel contract for the expansion. I've seen the renderings but not sure if I'm at liberty to share.

Which expansion? Are you talking about Project Health? I thought they were not at that point yet to start contracting for construction.thenewguy wrote: Mon Sep 16, 2024 3:15 pm Drake Williams was awarded the steel contract for the expansion. No problem. The only reason I never merged the two together is the fact its more of a mixed use development being developed by the hospital, rather than actual hospital development.Linkin5 wrote: Tue Oct 22, 2024 4:46 pm Sorry my comment was slightly tongue in cheek although this project does continue to confuse me with how much stuff is going on.

Things must be progressing in the background for Project NExT; I found an ad on LinkedIn that Kiewit is hiring for a senior scheduler position.
Kiewit - Lead Scheduler - Project Health (NExT Phase1) wrote:...current assignment is on upcoming Project Health (NExT Phase 1), a billion-dollar replacement hospital project in Omaha, NE.

Great shot Brad , you can see the new Hampton Inn on the far left side of the picture. A lot of good density in the Med-Center/Blackstone area. Especially for a metro of our size.

I see lied tower, it just looks more rectangular in this rendering than it does in reality.
