I'm gonna have OPPD issue a similar release to my HR dept and see how it goes: Tuna is raising his rates after inflation and a blown engine drove up costs this year.

Yeah, these rate increases are ridiculous. Seems like they need better planning or think of having an emergency fund for when weather or other disasters arise.

Anyone know why industrial and commercial customers always see a lesser rate increase? Is it because of some sort of discount they get? I also wonder to what extent all the data centers have in the equation.

According to Channel 6, Oppd is planning on raising rates 5-9% annual through the next decade….once again, absolutely ridiculous. Between them and Mud it’s getting ridiculous with the annual increases.

I love how OPPD always claims Omaha residents apparently pay among the lowest rates in the country for power... while also saying they're going to jack up our bills almost 10% a year (let's be honest here... they say between 5-9% but we know what that really means).

The average consumer is NOT receiving a cost of living raise at their job for between 5-9%, so playing devil's advocate, let's say MUD, Black Hills, Cox, property tax, etc all continue to rise at these levels... how the heck is anyone suppose to afford to live?

And I'm over their board of directors (ie, CEO, etc) receiving high six figure salaries... it's a public utility, not the president of the US. It's not right.
