I'm not sure what, IF ANY, reconfiguration of the core slip form is needed once they reach the floor where the tower steps back on the west side of the building. Obviously not all the elevators will run to the top of the building. The 30th floor may be where the tower floor plate changes.

Having lived in Omaha most of my life I was always a downtowner, where I lived, worked and played. Now that I moved away from Omaha, it’s taking off by leaps and bounds. I’m very excited to see all the growth. Very impressive! Makes me want to move back home.
I live in Midtown and I love seeing all the growth all around in the core, I love seeing our promising future taking shape in the core. It is gratifying to see multiple big scale projects completed mostly entirely with or exceeding funds from generous private donors; who demonstrate how much they care about our Omaha. Visiting other similar sized cities, I don't see a fraction of the large amount of construction taking place in Omaha.
I like being at the epicenter of the core taking place and I would not want to lose our downtown core amenities by moving elsewhere in Omaha. I am a frequenter to the Riverfront and the Old Market; I was at the Riverfront 2 days ago and even in colder weather. The parks are teaming with people; plenty of kids playing soccer, kids using the playground and of course foot traffic flows into the Old Market.
The MoO tower's skeleton continues to rise and look more and more dominant, week by week.
From my favorite drive to downtown from i480 west, while crossing the Missouri River and seeing the welcome to Nebraska "The Good Life" sign. Shortly followed by the Omaha skyline coming into view, its so nice to see the MoO tower and it's crane showing its presence.
Man, you're really making me feel homesick. The last time I was in Omaha was April 2024. I spent a week there and stayed near Aksarben Village. Took a drive through Blackstone, Downtown, Midtown and The Riverfront. I even bought a buddy with. I was able to proudly show off my hometown, all the while taking in all the developments in the city. And of course a trip wouldn't be complete without a stop in CB and the lookout points there.

Based on previous est, the building would be around 406 ft.
According to the KMTV article in Jan, it was at 29 floors then so this might be floor 30, but either way, we should officially have another 400 footer in the city now.
We need another building to compliment mutual. Not necessarily as tall, but something in the 375' range to help fill in the skyline. Des moines is going to look better at certain angles with 515 walnut going up.

In some ways, the Mutual building would have looked nicer on the old UP site, especially coming from the airport. As it is there is a gap between the tallest buildings in our skyline.

Rod Yates is currently negotiating the first 4000 acre vertical development to go on to the UP site. Since Gretna didn't bow down, he said "f - it" and decided to go to the opposite side of Omaha.

Concrete can withstand large compressive forces, but does not do as well under tension. The addition of steel increases the tensile strength of concrete structural members.

Right now MoO skeleton looks skinny but once MoO starts building its outer cover, MoO will have plenty of girth.
Does anyone know how much comparable in girth the MoO will be to FNBO's slender portion?
Keep in mind that these are rendering inserted into photos so the scale and perspective aren't exactly accurate. It may be more useful to compare one of Brad's recent photos against these p.o.v. renderings to calculate girth, etc. For example, in person, the parking garage alone is larger and more imposing than what the second image above conveys.
