I've never had Wienerschnitzel before so this was my take after having it today. The drive thru is awful due to it being on the back of the building next to 72nd. The people working there will grow extremely annoyed that they won't be able to hear your order as well as the customer not being able to hear them over the traffic. The prices are a little high in my opinion. I ordered the #3 which is a chili dog, a chili burger, medium fries and medium drink. It's supposed to come with a small fries and small drink for just under $10 but my total came out to $12.67 with medium. That seems like a lot of food, but the hot dog and hamburger are very small. The fries were a decent size for medium.
Food was actually good. Fries were hot and salted just right for me. The hot dog was good and the chili surprised me with its flavor. I'd probably pass on their burgers and stick with hot dogs. Overall, I'll go back but will use their website coupons. Now that I'm looking they have the same deal for $6.99.

Thanks for the review...was it really busy? Usually when places like this open, I give them some time so they aren't so busy. Thanks for the heads up about the coupons.

Not at all at 12:30. There were only a few cars ahead of me at the pickup window.skinzfan23 wrote: Thu Jan 30, 2025 8:38 pm Thanks for the review...was it really busy? Usually when places like this open, I give them some time so they aren't so busy. Thanks for the heads up about the coupons.

Re: Wienerschnitzel (NEC 72nd & Grover)
OK went and tried Wienerschnitzel before the UNO game Saturday night. Went with one of my boys. We spent about $20 and both left full. I had the combo of 2 chili dogs, fries and a drink . I added cheese to both. He had a chili cheese dog, chili cheese fries and a drink.
I will admit I love chili cheese dogs and have since I was a kid. I would now put Wienerschnitzel at the top of my list for Omaha. When I was a kid we use to go to Tulsa to visit family and ate at Coney Islanders down there. I loved them. As an adult I have traveled to Detroit to see friends (my college roommate interned then went to work for GM after college) and ate Coney Islanders there. I also love the ones in Chicago at Superdawg, along with Portillo's there and elsewhere We finally have a place that has chili cheese dogs as good as I have had when traveling.
These were definitely better than Don and Millie's, Sonic, DQ and both Zesto's.
The fries were middle of the pack. My son likes there chili cheese fries. I do want to try the bacon ranch chili cheese fries I saw. They also seem to have a nice selection of shakes and sundaes. Another time.
My other son has been going with friends. Very popular with his crowd.
I know some had questioned their prices. I hadn't seen the earlier post on coupons before I went. If you go to the website, they have some really good deals, like 2 chili dogs and fries for $4.99. They were also advertising on their website, 7 chili dogs for $7 on Super Bowl Sunday. Unfortunately, they only put the specials on their website, not their app (which is odd).
There is limited seating, 4 tables. Hopefully with a smaller store, that leads to this being open for a long long time. When we were there, we were at one table and all others were being used. Drive thru was doing well then too. No one waited for a table, they seemed to be turning over at the right time.
Like my youngest son, I will definitely be a regular customer.

I stopped by here for lunch today. Greg is correct. There's all of about 4 tables in here. I wouldn't plan on having a place to sit.
The food was nothing to get too excited about - Hot Dogs and Burgers. The hot dogs are decent and you can pay extra to upgrade to a premium all beef hot dog. Are the hot dogs any better than one off the roller at the nearest QuikTrip? Probably not. Burgers were standard fast food burgers. Their hot dog chili is pretty tasty, so I'll agree with Greg that they make a good chili dog.
Jalapeño Poppers are tasty, but not jalapeño poppers. They're cheddar cheese mixed with bits of jalapeño and then fried. "Cheddar Jalapeño Bites" or something would be a more accurate description. I think the US has decided what a Jalapeño Popper is and these aren't that. Though, like I said, they're good.
If I lived or worked really close by, then I'd probably pop in here occasionally. However, I'm not driving across town for it.

My wife and I went the other day. I tried the fish and chips, and surprisingly for a fast restaurant, it was actually pretty good. Light and flavorful. Not Brazen Head, but good.
The fries were standard fast food stuff, not very exciting. I’d get the meal again but I’d get the double amount.
