Looks like some additional cladding/facade has been added there on the north side.

Seems like girth is nearly more important that height.

The video from earlier shows workers walking around and really lets you appreciate the scale, which is hard to envision from ground level next to the other buildings. All we need, truly, is something at the UP site and we have us a bona fide skyline

Slip forms are moving up another floor today. They did a cement pour on Saturday.

Dang I hope to God they added some sand and gravel to the mix. Hopefully the inspectors caught it in time. 8)

This post seems fishy... Concrete is Sand, Gravel, Cement, and Water. You leave out the Sand and Gravel, you have a grey water... I would assume that everyone, even the newest rookie on the job, would notice something is wrong when grey water comes rolling out of the mixer truck...

Thanks for your valuable contribution to the forum. However, cement can (and I will) be using it at as synonym for concrete if I wish. I will never say "concrete mixer truck" but will call them cement trucks. :D

That photo for some odd reason showcases how huge that parking garage is. Even though this wouldn't happen, my mind went to being stuck on the top level after an Orpheum Show - LOL... definitely a lot of patience needed.

That happened to me once in the parking garage next to the Landmark building and its only 6 levels I believe. The gates weren't working at all and the garage was full. It was after a Creighton game and I was stuck in there for over 2 hrs.....not a fun experience.

In the elevator shaft that we see going vertical now?

Current view from 30th & Dodge looking east.

Also visible: the missing "e" on the Woodmen Life sign, presumably blown off by the same strong winds that blew the Gallup sign off

I thought that "e" looked" weird when going to the Creighton game last night.

I would hate to be down below when that thing came off.

Yeah, it's from a little patio on the second floor of our office that the condo owners above us use. It has a nice vantage point of downtown!

2 cents here....My favorite view is from the top floor of the Holland Center. Just something about the view from there does it for me. From the western windows you have to completely crane your neck to begin to see it. This is despite the fact that these are floor to ceiling windows, Yet all you see is the parking garage. To see this enormous structure decked out like a club sandwich against a background of the Paxton, there is just something curiously satisfying about it. Something about the way an ultra modern building juxtaposed to a 100 year old structure appeals to the eye. You also get the enormity of the building from this perspective. That is when you realize you have to bend half way to the floor to see the top of the current structure knowing that when it is completed you would have to stand on your head and look up out of the bottom of your eyes to see where it will end up. May sound weird I suppose...looking out from this perspective , beautiful new against beautiful old, ...an already vibrant pedestrian filled downtown park, and hopefully a new street car system to put the whole thing in motion....almost like a big boy city.

Yep, your close. That was my 200-800, but 800 is too much so it was probably in the 600-700 range.
