All these water parks and none of them compare to the awesome one we went to a few weeks ago in Wisconsin. It was gigantic and had 8 different waterparks, 4 indoor and 4 outdoor.

Yes, the Wilderness is a whole different place. We usually go to Mt Olympus (b/c its free if you stay there and we usually go for a few hrs in the evening at check in and then a few hrs after breakfast)

Is Wilderness really expensive? What did you think of the Dells, have you been there before? My wife hates it, but the kids and I like it for some fun for a day or two. We usually go on our way to our cabin and also to Milwaukee to visit family.

We were there because my son played in the Cheddar Cheese Classic Hockey Tournament. The whole team from Omaha had a block of rooms at Wilderness. Honestly, I don't even know what we paid or if there was some sort of group rate.

I was in the Dells when I was 6 or 7, so 40 years ago. I don't really remember much other than we went on a Duck Boat ride and there was lots of mini golf. This time was alright because the city was basically a ghost town in January. I'm sure in the summer traffic is a disaster.

The Dells used to be crazy busy before Covid, these past few years it was a little busy, but nothing like it used to be. Sometimes it would take an hr just to get through the main st to downtown. The area is actually quite beautiful with the Wisconsin River running through and the boat rides are still fun. (although I haven't done one for 6-7 years.

Being a camera guy you should read about HH Bennett and developing a faster shutter to capture the Stand Rock picture of his son: (you can still take a boat ride to see the rock)
