Amazing to me how close downtown appears to be from Lake Manawa. If this forum had the 'like' function, you and Skinzfan (and others) would have received quite a few from me.Brad wrote: Sun Mar 02, 2025 1:10 pm Not the best photo with all the heat distortion, but I'm gonna try this one again early in the morning.

That is a great shot, Brad. And as WorldSreet mentioned, makes Lake Manawa appear so close.

I would think that it should be going up another level here soon. Also wonder when steel starts going up ( thought it would be around March/April)

Though it's not on the planning board plans, maybe they changed the design of the high-rise portion to add more space?

The outline I pointed out does not match the floor plate in the Planning Board. It does on the left side, but definitely different on the right side.skinzfan23 wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 12:45 pmThanks for pointing that out....think that answers our question!ItsAllAboutMe wrote: Fri Mar 07, 2025 11:37 am See pages 9 and 10 for low and high rise floor plates.https://planning.cityofomaha.org/images ... rch/12.pdf

The tower steps out two floors at the base on the west side, IIRC one of these will be the cafeteria.

Pace is really going to pick up once they finish this pour and move to steel erection.
Also the Duo appears to be making some real progress next door.

I agree on both accounts. The concrete part took forever, but the steel should go more quickly. Also love seeing all the new windows on the Duo.InTheRoom wrote: Mon Mar 10, 2025 9:36 am Pace is really going to pick up once they finish this pour and move to steel erection.

The first steel columns were placed this afternoon (south side). It's been a long wait for this day.

Not entirely MOO related, but this video also shows some good progress being made on the The Duo's penthouse level.

Few different views:
1. 2. 3. Here you can see how wide the tower will be in comparison to the buildings behind it. So it will cover the woodman, but just barely.

Appreciate you sharing, Brad! Since I’m still living in Lincoln, it’s nice to keep checking back here on the forum, to see all the latest pictures of progress on this tower, as well as all the other developments going on in my hometown.

Its be a while this time. I think about 3 1/2 weeks, but I am sure the winds and blizzard didn't help.

I wouldn't be surprised if the shape of the core has changed again as the core progresses.skinzfan23 wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 8:37 amIts be a while this time. I think about 3 1/2 weeks, but I am sure the winds and blizzard didn't help.

It does appear the configuration of the core changes once the low rise portion of the tower transitions to the high rise. Not all elevators go to the upper floors. I'm not sure if they are at the point yet but they have to be close.EricHaley wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 9:20 amI wouldn't be surprised if the shape of the core has changed again as the core progresses.skinzfan23 wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 8:37 amIts be a while this time. Looking back at the TIF doc, it does appear to change around floor 30/31, so I think we are right at that now.ItsAllAboutMe wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 9:37 am

That was what I saw as well; however, the illustration posted just recently (showing the amenity level bump-outs) indicates that has changed from what the TIF document shows.skinzfan23 wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 10:21 amLooking back at the TIF doc, it does appear to change around floor 30/31, so I think we are right at that now.ItsAllAboutMe wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 9:37 am

Different elevator banks for different sets of floors is pretty standard in high rise constructionItsAllAboutMe wrote: Wed Mar 12, 2025 9:37 amIt does appear the configuration of the core changes once the low rise portion of the tower transitions to the high rise.
