Bungalows at Whitehawk Lake (SEC 204 & F Street)

Does anyone know what's being built at the corner of 204th & F St? They've put up construction fencing along 204th for what appears to be about 1/2 a block... the amount of real estate there reminds me of what they're building on the west side of 204th up by the Burger Theory, which I believe are a lot of expensive apartments.

BTW, I looked into those Aerie apartments as my mom has thought about selling her townhome and moving into a newer apartment... the rents are crazy! Sure, some of them are basically small row houses but I can't believe people in Omaha would be $2500-$3500/month to rent an apartment. Guess that's my old school "I'd rather try and build equity, even in a mediocre house than rent for more than a house payment" attitude. Of course since the economy still hasn't turned around, perhaps that's the way rents are going to be from now on.

Oh definitely, I was referring to the “back yards with artificial turf”. I haven’t seen that in a development before.

If I loved everything else about the project the thought of artificial turf would be a total deal breaker. Maybe they can install plastic trees to stick out of the turf, since real plants won’t grow without a root system accessible to air and water.
Then you have the extra runoff from rain and melted snow.
Who approves this sort of stuff?
