Piezon’s Pizza- 156th and Center

I finally tried this place out.. Carry out of course..

NY Style is not my preferred pizza style. But I must say, the pizza here is pretty good- the crust/sauce is good and it’s reasonably priced (I paid $23.00 for a large, 18 inch, 3 topper)..

Anyone else eat Piezon’s lately?...

Had takout 2 -3 weeks ago. I really like the place. Until this last takeout it had all been eat in for me. That shows you it had been a while.

This place succeeds because the owner< Matt Vrzal, I believe, truly runs this hands one. That being said, unless he has a burning desire to grow it, I hope it stays a single location because I think it would lose some of what makes it different if there was more than one location.

I didn’t know Matt Vrzal owned the place until you guys mentioned it..

I’ll say this, for a Wednesday, they were busy with carry out. I was watching the guys man the ovens.. there were at least 15 pizza pies in the ovens when mine was finally ready for carry out...

I ate there like four years ago, was not impressed with the pizza which was too bad because I really like Matt Vrzal. I may give them a chance again we’ll see.

Another example of how "good" pizza is subjective. Not everyone likes the same stuff. I would suggest if it has been four years give them one more shot.

I will, I moved outside of Omaha so it is slightly hard to just visit a place but I willl.

Have you been there since they moved into the old King Kong location rather than he strip plaza next door? Hard to say it is real but to me, they got "better" when they moved.

Incredibly sad only 51 years old. RIP to a guy that dedicated a ton of time coaching kids.

Monday - Tuesday: Takeout only 11:00-3:00, Full Service 3:00-Close
Wednesday: Full service 11:00-Close
Thursday - Sunday: Takeout only 11:00-3:00, Full Service 3:00-Close
