Interesting. A California restaurant group (Tableside Partners) with a bunch of California restaurants is going to open a random location in Omaha?

Does seem weird - they do have a link on their site to an Omaha location, but when you click "directions" it takes you to a California location. Also, the address they have listed for the Omaha store is 1188 Grand RD - where is that?

I'm sure its an error. Their "Tableside Partners" website has bad links and errors too.

The J. Crew Factory Store is now open in a former Pottery Barn Kids space at Regency Shopping Center. J. Crew Factory has an existing metro area store at Nebraska Crossing.

That's an interesting development. Does this indicate anything regarding Nebraska Crossing, like it's too far from the customer base of some of these stores? Or is J. Crew just that popular in Omaha that there needs to be two locations? I am probably reading too much into it.

I was in the one in Regency last week. The J. Crew factory at Nebraska crossing seemed a little nicer I thought. I’m starting to wonder if Regency Mall has played out its time. And it would be best if all the stores moved to the new development at Heartwood preserve at some point. Regency mall could be demolished and the land could be repurposed, to possibly upscale apartments and/or a small upscale strip shopping center similar to Loveland at 90th and Center. Just a thought, maybe Regency mall can recover once again.

Too bad they couldn’t swing a regular J. Crew store. Some years ago, before I figured out how crappy the quality was at some outlet stores, I bought 3 shirts on sale from their outlet store at Potomac Mills. I’m not exaggerating when I say that these were some of the worst shirts I’d ever purchased. They all went south after the second washing and became downright uncomfortable to wear. I was going to donate them to a homeless shelter but I decided I have more respect than that for the homeless. They were that bad.

It was designed that way on purpose, to follow the contours of the land. It discourages people who don’t live there from using the roadways. The exception is Regency Parkway, which runs from Westroads down to Pacific Street and One Pacific Place.

Did you know that within the neighborhood itself there isn't a single 4 way intersection? Once again on purpose... Trying to prevent speeding / through use of the neighborhood streets.


Sure as heck made it interesting finding my way around when we moved into the neighborhood. GPS has been a savior.

But there certainly are some oddities - we live on a double circle street (it Y's to 2 circles). That means the address that should be "across from me" is actually on the other half of the circle. Funny to see delivery guys going round in circles sometimes. Thankfully Amazon/UPS/USPS seem to have it all figured out.

Ah, that's fun! No, I hadn't quite picked up on that fact, although I have been lost plenty of times.

Has Regency Court officially dropped the "Court" from their branding. I see it referred to as Regency Shopping Center many places now.

I see. I see. Perhaps people just throw "shopping center" on there in conversation to not confuse it with its namesake neighborhood.
