Jays lost 81-74 in day one of the Players era tournament. They were down by 12 to Baylor but battled back but couldn't quite get over the hump. Dix had 15 pts and 6 assts and Hudson Greer, in his 2nd game ever scored a team-high 16 pts.

This is a good read, basically Creighton and San Diego St have agreed to be in the Players Era event through 2029. Way better than Maui especially for the guaranteed money.

Big break for CU today. ISU star point guard Tamin Lipsey was injured yesterday against St John’s and is out today. He also missed the exhibition between the two.

Good to hear from a game plan standpoint but always hate injuries. I knew there was a chance of him being out. CU handled them pretty well in Omaha without Lipsey and we were without Owen Freeman and Jackson McAndrew in that game as well.

Jays are horrible again today. Can't shoot, dribble, hang onto the ball. Graves and Harper shot a combined 0-13, add in 4 other guys and they were 0-23.

Hudson Greer continues to impress. Dix finally made a few 3's and Jasen Green had a decent game. Other than those 3, everyone else was trash.

Gunna play loser of Oregon/San Diego st at 1 on Thursday. Seems like we play Baylor, Oregon or San Diego st every year now. Wish we could get some different matchups.

Jays finally got a win in the tournament over Oregon. After being up by as much as 17, Oregon closed it to within 1 and thankfully the Jays hit 19-21 FTs and only had 5 tos today. They needed that win badly.

What a terrible first half for the Jays today. Down by 18 at half and 20 in the 2nd, they finally woke up and pulled to within three with about 2 1/2 minutes left, but then we had a bad finish again. Hopefully they can take something away from the second half of this game where they played much better. It was crazy because Mac had three new starters in there as he’s stated over and over again if guys aren’t going to practice consistently they’re not going to play.

As for that first half I have never seen worse basketball as a Creighton fan in 21 years that I’ve had season tickets.

What a half for the Jays so far tonight. Up 27 @Xavier 49-22, didn’t see that coming. 15 assts and only 1 turnover. Don’t know if the Jays have ever had a half like that in the Big East.

Yes it was crazy, haven’t seen them play like this since preseason. Ended up winning 98-57. Swartz with career high 27 pts and broke Doug’s record for Creighton Big East debut (he had 19)

Hopefully the Jays can carry the momentum.

Winning the way they did in a building that is always difficult to get a W in, was impressive…

Still can't believe last night's game. That was the largest deficit for Xavier ever in the Cintas Center which opened in 2000. The previous was only 22 points, so Creighton nearly doubled that.

Also glad that this game was on a Wed night. It seems like most years we play them on a Sat and the place is packed.

Just found out that the Jays win from the other night was the second largest road victory in big east history. That’s incredible.

After the terrible start to the season the Jays are in first place in the Big East. After being down 7-0 tonight they went on a 25-2 run at one point which included Nik Graves scoring a 10-0 by himself in only 40 sec. That was amazing to watch.

Ball movement looked great again.

I was at the Jays game last night. Pretty decent crowd even though it’s Holiday break..

Slow start then a scoring explosion. The Jays were up by 31 at one point. I know Marquette is rebuilding, but this was a nice home win against a conference opponent..and it’s always nice to beat Shaka Smart..

2-0 in conference play…

Just for context, weren't the vast majority of these games when UNO was a D2 program? I don't remember too many games between them since UNO became a D1 program. And one might have been an exhibition....

OK thought so. Would love to see Creighton play UNO more regularly now that UNO is a D1 school like they did back in the day when UNO was D2. Creighton plays against schools in UNO's conference every season, usually more than 1. They traditionally win those by a large margin as well.

Yeah that is the puzzling part is that Creighton plays teams from the summit league but doesn't schedule UNO. Even in this down year for CU, I think the Jays would easily win.

Its only been 2 conference games against 2 of the worst teams in the conference, but Creighton looks like they have figured some things out the past 2 games.

Creighton beat Utah Tech last night 92-69. Slow first half, but much more in control in the second. I made it to the game and can definitely say the new screen is pretty impressive.

I do like it and think it looks great from the lower bowl but from the upper bowl, especially in the corner sections it is hard to read. This year they are including more player stats and their name, which makes the font smaller. Add in the fact that the screen is curved on the edges and you can't read player stats well. I wish they would minimize all the ads on the board, but I know that isn't going to happen. For the intro videos, when its full screen, it is pretty impressive.

Jays win 89-85 over Butler for their 3 consecutive Big East win and 4th in a row. Best crowd of the season tonight and it was a good game minus the mediocre officiating.

Green had a career high 23 pts and also had 6 rebs and 5 assts.

Haha, I think on that play he was just throwing it up and #5 came barreling in like he was doing all night. The guy fouled out, but could have easily been called for several more fouls. I still can't believe the possession where Butler had 2 blatant over the backs and neither were called.

It was a fun game to be at with the high score and each team answering each other's runs.

Found out, Caitlin Clark was at the game last night, her boyfriend, Connor is an ast at Butler and her brother currently goes to Creighton.

Yeah- they showed her in the stands on TV and mentioned who she is dating as well..

Butler will be a tough out for anyone in the Big East this season. Nice job by the Jays defending home court…

Jays up 16 at one point but couldn’t hit 3’s today. But the story of the game was the horrible officiating. Swartz was fouled several times on a play with 13 seconds left and they called a jump ball.

I seriously have no idea how McDermott keeps his cool.

I think they look kinda nice…at least the other loss was to NE who is now #10.

Creighton has had a very tough schedule so far. Would have been nice to get this game. According to kenpom, their sos is 24th.

Huge win for the Jays tonight. Down 10 early and battled back to win for the first time at the pavilion @ nova. First quad 1 win.

Crazy to think they are one bad call away from being 5-0 in the Big East, but I gladly take 4-1.

What's his current status? I noticed he didn't play in the last game and only I think 5 minutes the game before.

I think they are slowly bringing him back. I am not sure on the exact injury but something foot related, so I think they are trying to not irritate it again.

I think you meant Greer, but yes it was terrible yesterday. Worst home loss in 11 years and it would have been a lot worse if the Jays didn’t score some at the end.
