I'm still amazed that Nebraska is actually doing this good. I wouldn't be surprised if they made it to the NCAA Tournament AKA the Big Dance in March. Maybe this will finally be the year when they finally win a game in the tournament.

I’m watching it now. Nebraska’s up 56-42.

UPDATE: Now the score's 82-52 Nebraska. Less than 3 minutes left. I think it's safe to say Nebraska's going to win this one.

Similar to the North Dakota game, it was tight during the first half, with NU only leading 41-38 at the half then a strong second half. Based on halftime, did not see that margin of victory coming.

I wasn't able to watch the game last night as I was at the UNO hockey game. Followed on-line at times. I did see that Ugnius Jarusevicius played for the first time this season (not played previously due to back imjury). Curious as to how he looked? Nice to have more depth inside for Big 10 play.

Really excited to watch tonight's game. I have one son that's a freshman at UNL and he said the basketball team has the students at a fever pitch this season (and he's not a big basketball fan).

An interesting fact that makes this game stand out even more, which I read on another site.

This is only the second game all time when Nebraska has been ranked and hosted a ranked opponent. The other time was in 1991 when KU came in ranked #10 played #15 Nebraska KU won 85-75

Game's over. Nebraska won 58-56. Man, that was intense. This was a pretty big win for Nebraska. They took down a Top 10 team and they're still undefeated. Now the question is where will Nebraska be ranked after this win?

I'm by no means a basketball fan. I almost took my Husker flag down after the bowl game, but I hesitated. I thought "I think the basketball team is doing pretty good", so I left it up, even though I had no clue how they were actually doing. I had no idea they were doing that good. So, cool, I'll leave my flag up :thumb:

No, it isn't. And I'm glad it's not. I wouldn't be surprised to see them make it to the big dance in March. With the way they're going, they more than likely will.

That game was a rock fight. Defense sold on both sides.

The environment in the arena was top 5 and maybe on the upper end of that. My number #1 is still no sit Sunday against Wisconsin, where it NEVER let up, and, to reference, you only sat at a time-out.

Tom Izzo is a great coach, and I think an overall decent guy. That being said, he gets away with things most others do not. He is not an A-hole, as I see it, on the court. His time and success have earned him some of that, I would guess, but WOW.

The crowd was into the game start to finish. It was as loud in there at the end as I can remember. There were times it did calm down, and as far as a "no sit," that didn't happen. Most of the arena was only on their feet during gameplay about 25% of the time

Glad I was there.

Home court has a significant impact on the favored team, as we all know.

Ohio State is favored by 2.5 tonight when the Huskers visit on the sites I looked at. Ohio State has losses to Pittsburgh, Iowa, and Illinois.

5:30 Cent game time on FS1

It will be interesting to see where the Huskers are ranked when the new ranking comes out later today.

Yeah I agree. With so much talent in the Big 10 this year, as good as we are, we will be underdogs a lot on the road.

The cinematic recap was awesome, thanks for posting.

Since the game, I have heard more than one separate source mention the possibility of a Nebraska / Michigan Undefeated matchup on 1/27

I think that is getting a bit carried away, but I guess we can dream. To get there, the Huskers (kenpom 19) need to win at Indiana (kenpom 28), home vs Oregon (kenpom 75) at Northwestern (kenpom 62) , home vs Washington (kenpom 51), and at Minnesota (kenpom 95) first.

Get past Indiana on the road this weekend and maybe.

Then enjoy getting beat by Michigan by 30, like everyone else.

Yeah I am not sure there's a better team in the country than Michigan. I think they'd definitely be favored over Arizona.

Nebraska will definitely have some losses coming up. Big 10 has 6 top 25 teams, plus as we saw last night, with us being near the top of the conference we will get everyone's best shot.

No, all road games will be tough. Plus as I said there are plenty of other ranked teams in the Big 10. The league is good. Michigan though might be the best team in the country.

Big Ten basketball is no joke.

As good as Michigan is they prob won't make it out without a couple losses. They barely dodged one on the road last night when Penn State missed a 3 at the buzzer.

You're not going to believe this, but Nebraska actually jumped to #1 in the latest Big Ten basketball standings.
