Rolled ankle early in the first. Ankle now in a boot and appears to be in tears at times on the sidelines.
Losing him will have an impact.

Think it was about 15 minutes remaining in the first when it happened. On a positive note, he did get up and go down the court before going out of the game. Went to the locker room and did not come out untill a couple of minutes into the second half. He was walking around limping with the boot on. Another slightly positive sign. He will be out for a few games at Min IMO and possibly the rest of the season. It will be interesting what is shared in the next day or two.

They're listing Frager as day to day with an ankle sprain. It does sound like he's going to miss the next few games including Michigan.

Damn, I'm not a basketball fan at all, but this Husker team is forcing me to take notice.

20-0 Huskers 76-57

Every time I randomly turn on the tube and catch the end of a game, Its a Husker win.

Another second half comeback. Down 6 at half on the road. Listened to the first half on radio. 3’s weren’t falling. Pace of game favored Minnesota. Thought we might take our first loss today.

Watched it all. These guys never panic, and even when down by 6 at half and at one point by 8, it never felt to me like this was getting away from them. They are just different.

Look forward to seeing what happened at Mish Tue night

Today #4 Purdue has lost to Illinois and #6 Houston has lost to Texas Tech.

On paper The Huskers should be at #5 for the game.

I recorded it and watched second half this morning. Wow, down 8, 17 minutes to go, then Huskers became dominant.

Also another strong showing of Husker fans in attendance on the road.

Looks like the Huskers are 10.5 point underdogs at Michigan on Tuesday.

Also, as of this morning, the Huskers are up to #5 from #7 in the NET ranking

6 Quad 1
7 Quad 2 with the addition of Minn after Sat.

Relatively short notice. Guessing it will not be overly successful. I know what I wear this time of year, even in the arena, is not white.

Suppose when the game on Tue night with Nebr and Mich was assigned to Peacock, there was any thought that it would be a top 10 (likely top 5) matchup with the teams a combined 38-1

For the men, yes. Women were #3 in 2009-2010 and reached the Sweet 16 after starting 30-0.

Maybe way off on this, but I have a gut feeling we will be OK tonight and not get past Ill at home on Sunday. I know I should not even say or type that.

Also, trying to figure out if Braden Frager traveled to Mich. They said at the press conference a few hours before they left Lincoln that he had made nice progress. He did not travel to Minn. I cannot find any reports indicating whether he traveled. Google AI didn't even have anything but " don't know.

Interesting fact

The important wins over ranked Illinois and Michigan State were also on Peacock.

You may be right. These are two tough games back to back. Beating Illinois twice is a tough ask.

I was watching as well to see if he traveled and haven't seen anything on it yet. Thought I'd see something last night.

As far as him traveling. Still looking and have not seen anything. The press conference yesterday said he had good progress, as stated. A couple of hours later, there were reports that Fred was asked if he was traveling, and he responded that the decision had not been made yet and that he had to be close to departure. I call BS on the 'no decision' at that time.

My guess only is that he did travel, and it will likely be a game-time decision. No reason to tip their hand to Mich. Probably keeping him in a duffle bag too, so that no one sees him there. Guess #2 is that he will try to play and at least see how it goes. Guess #3, it is very possible I am wrong.

That is probably their most impressive performance of the season. Shorthanded against a really really good Michigan team on the road.

1 of 13 in the second.

No moral victories, but this is as close as you can get to one with this loss. A lot of things lined up against the Huskers, and they were right there.

Yeah I struggled to call it a moral victory since we are so good. That being said, this game more than the others might have solidified my belief that we as good as our record and our rating. Down two of our top 6 and it's a game that felt like we should have won more than we should have lost.

I wonder with guys having to play more than their usual roles and mintues impacted our legs in the 2nd half on the 3 point shots?

Would have loved to have won that thing but it certainly didn't change how I feel about this teams talent, chemistry and culture.

This is what I think. Playing such an athletic team like Michigan shorthanded, they were gassed. All those 3's that we made in the first half were short in the second. But this was a really impressive game where we led for all but the first and last few minutes.

I mentioned earlier that I feel decent about this game but am worried about Sunday.

The way this played out I think the team will come out 100% ready on Sunday and motiviated. IT will not be a given, but I think our chances of winning Sunday have increased.

Looking at some National media today at noon, I really think even with the loss we gained credibility with the game, and they played being short-handed. OF course, it depends on Sunday, but based on this game alone, I do not think we will slide far in the rankings.

It really feels weird to me to feel OK about this loss.

Jacob Padilla is on 1620 now and he is thinking the same thing. Playing like we had to last night (with a smaller lineup overall) caused us to exert way more energy and hurt our shots in the 2nd half.
