Unless you've been a Husker basketball fan for a long time, it's really hard to convey how much this meant to so many of us.

After this, everything else is a bonus. An unforgettable year. So many records broken. And the first tournament win. So awesome.

Vanderbilt just knocked off McNeese 78-68. So they’ll be facing Nebraska on Saturday.

Watched the Colorado Avalanche VS Dallas Stars hockey Game tonight. After the game during the post game show they were talking about the NCAA BB tournament and one of the commentators said "Nebraska, I didn't even know they had a basketball team"... LOL

Colorado's "love" for all things Nebraska never changes....


Outside of Colorado, there has been nothing but positive mentions from the media nationally. Not only talking about NU getting the monkey off their back but the way Nebraska traveled and took over that arena. They obviously covered this during the game, both the play by play and color guys, but Andy Katz in the crowd too. ESPN and others giving all kinds of props to Nebraska. What a great day to be a Husker.....

Husker Nation overtook the arena in OKC, the GBR chants were very loud and I was going along with them at home. What a day, what a feeling and we do it again on Saturday. Listening to Early Break on 93.7 the Ticket is going to be fun tomorrow

I believe everyone does. Vegas has Vanderbilt as the favorites. They just went to the SEC finals and beat #1 seed Florida.

Both of those, along with Danny Nee, are stand-up guys who are glad they had their chance.
Remember that Doc was even on staff with Fred as an assistant when he started here.

Yeah Collier was awful at NU. A poor fit. I also really liked Nee, Sadler and Miles. Going back (and I didn't follow as closely then) not a fan of Moe Iba either, I arrived at UNL right as he left.

Congrats- and very happy the Huskers finally got that first Tournament win..

If they keep shooting like this, NU will be a tough out; I think the Huskers are better than UConn. I’ve been saying that for a couple of months now…

Both North Carolina and Villanova are out. That's quite surprising, at least for me. They're usually pretty good basketball teams. They don't usually get knocked out in the first round.

Even though this has nothing to do with Nebraska, I just felt I should mention it.

Wow. Nebraska advances to the sweet sixteen 74-72 over Vandy. They survived a near perfect shot that was further than half court.

We are on the gravy train for sure. Want the win but will have NO DISAPPOINTMENT in the season when it's over, no matter when. I really think they are back to playing their best ball, and some of the pressure is off. We can beat Iowa if we play our game. Iowa is hot, too, but they are not overall better than the Huskers.

Wonder what the pro-Husker crowd will look like in Houston. I am sure there were a lot of Florida fans who had tickets bought when they looked at their possible path and are on the resellers market now
