I read that Nebraska is ranked #9 and yesterday beat #7 UCLA.

ESPN has a poll that has Nebraska currently ranked #6. UCLA is #8. I believe they were about 14 or 15 to begin the year.

Currently ranked #7 with a record of 33-6 overall & 14-1 in conference .

Just took note and thought I would add here.

The Husker Softball team is at Penn St this weekend, and all three games are on the Big Ten Network

Penn St is 32-17 overall and 11-10 in Conf

Two wins guarantee at least a tie for the B1G reg season title, and three wins it outright. They lead UCLA. UCLA is playing Oregon this weekend, and Oregon is in third place

The softball team wins the Big 10 tourney and is a 1 see in the tournament.

Pretty impressive number for softball players in the WCWS that played in Nebraska a high school player, and even more so when you factor in the population base compared to the states that are ahead of them.

Yeah, a coworker of mine is a big Nebraska fan, and we were talking about this last week. I told him if Nebraska had all these girls on their team to begin with including Ruby Maylen, then the OU dynasty of the last 5 years would have never happened, and Nebraska would have won 1 or 2 championships.

With the addition of the west coast schools to the Big 10, it might be easier to keep Nebraska softball players in state. Now the the competition in the conference has been elevated.

Fantastic game. They were down 2-0 early. Tied it up 2-2 in the middle, then it went to extras. Arkansas went up in the 8th but Nebraska answered in the bottom of the inning with 1 out. Almost won it there as we had a runner at 3rd with 2 outs but couldn't bring her home. Walked it off in the 10th on ha 2 run homer.

I wanted to go to sleep earlier but the game was too good.

Top of the 7th, Arkansas had runners on 1st and 2nd with nobody out.

Such a great game. Arkansas used 3 pitchers. Jordy went all 10.
