Maverick's off to a good start this season. I'm happy to see them playing well with so many new players this season.

They have played nationally ranked teams every week so far and have #8 North Dakota coming to town this weekend.

#20 Minnesota State - Split
#13 UMass - Split
#15 Colorado College - Sweep

Currently first place in the NCHC, in the "Others Reviving Votes" in the national polls, and 30th in the Parwise.

Still plenty of upper bowl end seats left for this weekends games against the North Dakota fighting hawks.

I was surprised how many tickets were left for this weekend's games when I looked the other day.

I was as well. Traditionally UNO draws much better the second half, but with the start we've had and it being a marquee opponent I was surprised that many tickets were still available. Hopefully the flash sale works.

Went to the Mavs exhibition game Tuesday night. I have season tickets but this season more than most, I have missed a ton of games due to coaching my high school team. Was really surprised how good of a crowd they had considering it was a Tuesday Exhibition Game on winter break.

Most of the skill and offensive talent are underclassman. Large senior class were primarily role players. Need a strong goalie to replace Simon 4 year starter.

Incredibly challenging schedule for a team with 15 new faces this year. 16 of their 38 games were played against teams in the top 10 in the most recent computer rankings.

In this day and age (NIL and transfer portal), strong underclassmen unfortunately doesn't mean that much, unless you retain the vast majority.

UNO's initial plan to not opt in to the House Settlement proved to be a bad decision (they have opted in going forward).

Some roster movement before the transfer portal opens up in mid April.

Defenseman Aidan De La Gorgendiere - signed with a pro ECHL team. He had 1 year of eligibility left.

A few seniors that used up their eligibility have signed ECHL pro deals too.

Simon went to the Greenville Swamp Rabbits, which already has 3 other goalies... Rumor was he turned down much better deals last year to come back for his senior year.

Feel bad for him that it looks like he would have been better off leaving a year earlier.
