This is great for next year (not unexpected) but wow we could have used him healthy this year:

Not unexpected but still nice to see. If you don't already, he's a great follow on Twitter and Instagram. Incredibly positive (especially since he got injured and is out for the season) and posts tons of behind the scenes videos.

A name to watch in the portal. Many saying he would slide into Mask's spot if Nebraska were to land him:

Quite the buzz on him. Certainly, doesn't hurt that we have 2 former Lincoln players (Frager and Hoiberg) starring in the run right now. Not to mention 3 Nebraska kids (those 2 plus Jacobsen) in the top 7 rotation.

Decommitted from Creighton. Very well could still go there. Nebraska was a finalist the first time around, along with Iowa State, Iowa and Illinois

For 2025-26 Nebraska spent the lowest in NIL of the Sweet 16 teams. Supposedly it will more than double for next season.

In their "Way Too Early" 2026 poll Nebraska is at #10. Big 10 is well represented, Illinois at 1, Michigian 2, Michigan State 7, Nebraska 10, and Iowa 11.

From everything I am seeing on line Berke has entered the portal. Will be interesting if he stays there or comes back?

Yeah on Berke they talked about this on 1620. Got info from Robin Washut. It's not a surprise to Hoiberg. They'd been negotiating with Berke but couldn't get to his representative's number, sounds like his group wanted to double his NIL. They also mentioned NU has some big time visits coming Saturday. One I believe they said was from Boise.

6-9, saw he had double the number of dunks as Frager and Berke combined. Also shoots 3's at 40%. Perfect Hoiberg player, can play inside and shoot 3's.

Going to be honest. I was legitimately concerned we might lose Frager. I know he's from Lincoln and all but with him winning the Big 10 freshman of the year and being the only player off the bench in the Big 10 to average double digits, he could get a big payday. Also remember he played a chunk of the season while dealing with an ankle injury. Can only imagine what his numbers would have been if healthy during that time. I am sure NU had to give him a healthy increase in NIL.

I am a little surprised that nothing has been said yet about where Berke Buyuktuncel will land. I have not even seen any rumors about where he might be visiting. The ONLY thing I saw was a mention of K State, but that didn't seem to have legs, and that was right away.

Yeah I haven't seen anything either. I wish him nothing but the best, hope it works out for him.

I really wish we had signed Fielder on his visit. I don't have a great feeling on him still going on his Washington visit.

I wasn't concerned on Sandfort leaving to go to another school but was kind of concerned about the NBA.

This is such great news.

I was on that same page. I think the fact that he had post-season surgery for the sports hernia that he had played with for part of the season played in Nebraska's favor. Probably held him back from being considered for full NBA potential and evaluation

I was thinking similarly. It obviously would not be ideal for him to get his best look for the NBA if injured.

Imagine if we have Sandfort and Frager healthy all next season? (and if they had been healthy all of this past season....)
