True. Midweek pitching has been rough at times the last few years. Will be nice to have that kind of depth this year.

Summer like in Lincoln this weekend and God only knows what the weather will be like in Ann Arbor this weekend.

This Husker team is on a roll, hopefully they can get into the regionals without having to win the Big 10 tournament like they have done the last 2 years. I'm not holding my breath on that.

Nice trend They did it again on Wed afternoon. I was able to listen to some of the game, but did not catch everything. Liked what I heard, though. Wichita may not be the power thay have been at some points, but don't think they are a pushover this year either

I wonder how many Nebraska fans were at the game, that were on their way to OKC?

I think there was a fair number, from what I heard. Wish one of them were me. Looked at it really seriously, but could not find tickets in OKC that were at a price point I wanted to consider.

Yeah I really wanted to go as well. I love downtown OKC especially Bricktown. It's cool to see so many Nebraska fans exploring it for the first time. Looks like an absolute blast. One giant party.

The baseball team won at Michigan Sunday, and also won the series. They kind of got lost with all the attention being focused on basketball.

That's fantastic news. As you pointed out earlier, we seem to have deeper pitching depth. Could be the key to compete in a much more competitive Big 10 (referring to the PAC 12 additions).

Midweek win on the road at Kansas State last night. 14-9 Only was able to listen to some of it, but the relief pitching did not live up to recent success. Thankfully, the bats were at work, and there were 15 hits. I believe the game lasted just short of 4 hours.

Nebr used 9 pitches nd K St used 6. Pryce Bener had the most time on the mound with 2.1 innings
It looks like some little-used arms were given a shot to see what they could do.

Always good to get a win at another Power 4 school and a former conference foe.

It's Monday, so the new rankings are out for baseball.

Huskers are up to 19 from 24 in the D1 baseball rankings
They are #21 in the USA Today Coaches poll after being unranked in the others receiving votes last week
#24 after not being ranked last week in the Baseball America Poll

I think their new win streak is up to 6 and they have won 16 of their last 17 games. Wow.

It got interesting as the game got deeper. In past years Creighton would have pulled it out. The win streak continues. Up to 7 now.

I was watching too. Didn't go. I usually don't get too excited about officiating, but I will just say the home plate ump sure was "interesting."

Some tough conference games a head. UCLA is number 1 in the country, USC 10, and Oregon at 20.

The west coast teams definitely helped the conference in baseball.

The Jays outhit the Huskers 9-7
No scoring after the third inning. It was a fun game to be at if you like low-scoring games, and i don't mind them. Jays walked 8 Huskers to 1 walk for the Jays. Along with some batters getting hit, the Huskers left a lot of runners on base. I believe it was 12 for the game.

Yep but it was a lot more than that. This was in 10th
At the start of the 8th they were down 5
At the start of the 9th they were down 2

This team does not quit. It was a fun game to be at esp at the end. They never lead untill the walk off. Down 0-5 to start then scored two and gave them back in the next 1/2 inning to be down 7-2 until the 8th.

Game was right at four hours long

Such a great weekend for Husker baseball. I saw where Oregon is ranked again too. I think they had also dropped out of at least some polls.
