Huskers back in at #20 D1 baseball rankings after not being ranked last week.
They are #TBD in the USA Today Coaches poll after being #25
#20 after not being ranked last week in the Baseball America Poll

The RPI has the Huskers at #14 this week
Such a great weekend for Husker baseball. I saw where Oregon is ranked again too. I think they had also dropped out of at least some polls.
I was at the Fri and Sat games. was unable to make Sun due to a scheduling conflict. The two games I was at were probably the best home-game environments since the Big 12 days. Even though it was as cool as it was Fri night, it was great. I wonder how many people who left in the seventh down by 5 didn't admit to leaving early come Saturday morning.

Probably like when Nebraska came back against Ohio State when it was raining or against Northwestern on the Hail Mary. I was at both games. Several left in my section at half time of Ohio State. For Northwestern had a bunch leave after Northwestern's last score. Both in the Pelini era.

Nice, but it made me go look

Only seats 2.500 so a sellout there is a low-attended game in Lincoln. with some standing room it is possible to get close to 3K

Yeah but pretty good for a Tuesday night. The atmosphere down there is crazy. Their student section is top of the line for baseball.

Only possibly ones on the road since ESPN is not a Big 10 partner.

I tried to watch on the ESPN + stream, and it was terrible quality and kept buffering. Tried it on more than one device and on other streaming sources that work fine, including other ESPN content. Check my internet speed connection, and it was great. Finally just gave up

Interesting. I didn't have any issues at all. We have Cox for our internet. Got the ESPN app through Roku.

I have Allo (best decision I've made so far, about three months ago). Inrternet speed tested right at 1GB download. Tried it on my FireStick, Directly on my TV, and on my phone, which was set to use my cell and not home WIFI to test. No change Only put up with it for about two innings.

I wonder what the issue was? I watched the entire game with no issues.

Really enjoyed the broadcast. They had the voice of KU, Brian Hanni on the call. Even though he's KU through and through I thought he did a good job presenting both teams. Might be the best play by play guy in college sports. He does football, basketball and baseball for KU. Last summer did some work for the Royals on their broadcasts too. So talented.

Will have to win the B1G tourney to be back in that consideration.

And sweep Iowa and Minn

Part of me wants to say that losing a chance to host a regional is what the athletic department deserves after what they came out and said about access to regional tickets for season ticket holders last week.

Agree. The athletic department’s desire to generate maximum revenue is going to end up alienating the average fan. I would suggest they realize who has kept the athletic department relevant for the past 25 years.

It's all about the $$$$ - I feel for the players, but they should have been able to take down OSU.

Scratching my head at the decision to start the next game at 6 now...looks like a pretty decent chance we stay relatively dry and if you got that game going at 3:30 you could get at least one of the last two in tonight.

Edit: I guess the argument could be made the second two game winners both playing tomorrow would be on more similar footing than making just 1 team play twice tomorrow but still.

The Husker / Michigan game ended just before 2 AM. Started at 11 PM. The crowd was great considering all the delays and not knowing for sure if the game was going to be played utill the end of the UCLA game

The initial report was that there needed to be a 65 Min gap between games. And the latest they could start was 11 PM per Big Ten rules. They really wanted to get it played. About the 7th inning of the UCLA game, they announced that the Husker game would be played if the game was over by 10:20. They shortened the time between the games. The scoreboard clock read exactly 10:20 when UCLA won. The grounds crew was out before the teams were even off the field.

I can argue both ways that they should have played as they did or they should have postponed untill Sat.

Eather way it was fun to be at and a long day at the ballpark

The park looks great. Love the additions for the scoreboard and ribbon boards. It's almost an info overload if you try to take it all in.

Here are the 16 sites that were announced last night.

Three Big 10 teams. Surprised that USC was not selected but not sure who I would remove to create a lot for them

The 16 regional sites, with host institutions and records are as follows:

Athens, Georgia – Georgia (46-12)
Atlanta, Georgia – Georgia Tech (48-9)
Auburn, Alabama – Auburn (38-19)
Austin, Texas – Texas (40-13)
Chapel Hill, North Carolina – North Carolina (45-11-1)
College Station, Texas – Texas A&M (39-14)
Eugene, Oregon – Oregon (40-16)
Gainesville, Florida – Florida (39-19)
Hattiesburg, Mississippi – Southern Mississippi (43-15)
Lawrence, Kansas – Kansas (42-16)
Lincoln, Nebraska – Nebraska (42-15)
Los Angeles, California – UCLA (51-6)
Morgantown, West Virginia – West Virginia (39-14)
Starkville, Mississippi – Mississippi State (40-17)
Tallahassee, Florida – Florida State (38-17)
Tuscaloosa, Alabama – Alabama (37-19)
