Game 1 of the finals on Saturday was scheduled as an evening game this year, but got moved up to 2 PM cent on Sat on Friday afternoon due to the weather forecast. It was the correct decision

Thanks. I had never seen any news about that. I was wondering if that was the case watching the game seeing the sky and looking at everything on the radar out west of there at the time.

Unless you have a crazy high number baseball fanbase like Mississippi State or LSU in the finals it's the norm. People that come to Omaha for the series usually don't book the extra day because it's not a certainty that there will be a game. Opening weekend I think usually has more butts in seats than championship weekend too.

Could go look, but won't. I almost guarantee that when the camp goes 3-game, 3 is one of the lowest-attended games of the series.

Yeah having Oklahoma in the finals has really helped. Tons of Sooners all over downtown and filling hotel rooms.

Oklahoma wins Game 3 of the Finals 13-2. So they win the College World Series. They're the national champions. It's party time down in Norman, OK.

This was the first game I was at this year, have they always done the light show with thunderstruck towards the end of the game? I thought that was a nice touch.

Didn't have a strong rooting preference for either team in the finals, but I was pulling for the Sooners with the old Big 8-12 ties.

I don't remember seeing it during the regular CWS games and Championship Games one and two were during the day.

Unfortunately like a lot of songs at this years CWS, it was not the original Thunderstruck, it was a dance remix version.... I know, "Old Guy complaint".

Congratulations to the Sooners, who win their third CWS (1951, 1994, 2026).

North Carolina has been to the CWS 13 times, but has never won it all.

(Florida State has been to the CWS 24 times, with zero titles to show for it!)

Last night was fun. Was impressed with how many NC fans stayed for game 3. OU had them outnumbered by a decent margin, but considering the distance they had a big vocal crowd. Was really good for Omaha to have both fan bases eating, drinking, shopping and staying an extra day.

Grandstand was full, the outfield was somewhere between 50 and 60 percent occupied by my estimation.

On TV, the crowd noise was more even than I thought it would be. Wonder how many of the "local" were behind NC

I didn’t check to see what the overall attendance figures were this year versus in past years. I did see on the news that the weather was the coolest for an overall series in many years. Only one day reached 85 degrees. Some years every day was warmer than that.

I think I saw the TV ratings were the third highest ever.

On a side note, the TV ratings for the Women's Softball World Series in OKC were even higher than the CWS. Despite NIL and the portal (or possibly because of it), ratings in college sports are rising. The basketball tourney had great ratings as well.
