N Street Drive in has been in business in Lincoln and has anounced they are closing in Auguest.
Plenty of College kids among others know this place well
I have found it a bit Ironic for a while that they are now on O Street. Back in my day I went to the location on N street. I never thought about it until my oldest daughter brought it up when she was in Lincoln and was old enough to by. She said it was stupid that the place with that name was on O street. Made since to here when provided the history lesson

Wow, so many changes. I made a visit or two to the original on N St. I remember going even more to a place on 27th and Vine, maybe Mum's? Back then if you bought warm beer it was cheaper than buying cold beer.nebugeater wrote: ↑Fri Jun 26, 2026 8:21 pm N Street Drive in has been in business in Lincoln and has anounced they are closing in Auguest.

I, too, remember the price difference between cold and warm. CrazyGreg S wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 9:28 amWow, so many changes. Mum's is on O Street and has been around for years. I think they are closer to downtown than 27th Street.
When I lived in Lincoln and was old enough to buy, I went to Ken's Kegs near 48th & Holdrge. I lived in an apartment just north or east of Campus on Baldwin.

OK.I need to remember the name of the one that used to be on 27th and Vine (it was handy for Abel). They always had great deals on warm cases of coors light long necks back in the day.nebugeater wrote: ↑Wed Jul 01, 2026 9:52 amI, too, remember the price difference between cold and warm. Would also be interesting to go down memory lane of the pizza places from back then.
On Lincoln closings, I still can't believe the downtown Amigos closed. Saw the building is still there when we were down there for the Savannah Bananas game.
Of campus I lived at 7th and Charleston (the bottoms) and the corner of 17th and B....absolutely loved my 4 years at UNL.

Mum's? Not quite 27th, but out that way. I was doing an internet search on the old band Lie Awake that I loved when at UNL. This came up and has an ad for Mum's when it was on 27th and Vine. Also has an ad for when Sandy's was on N 11th St. I think it moved one more time before it got to it's current location on O St (which was a McDonalds in the 80's, still have the old 70's and 80's McDonalds tile floor).

And notice that's for a warm case. That was such a thing back then. Warm beer was cheaper. If I am reading that correctly they had 16 oz for $5.29. We got lots of Coors Light Tall Boys there warm on special back then.
