Any good local builders for storage sheds that you've used, or should I get a Tuff Shed?

Post by Nigol »

Am needing a storage shed in the back yard. Something around 10ft x 8ft. Has anyone recently had a local builder build one for you that turned out well? If so, who? I was thinking of a wooden shed with vinyl siding that doesn't ever need painting (if that option is avail). Would have to be built on site. (Some companies deliver a shed fully built/fully assembled and move it to the place you want it, but that wouldn't fit through the ways to my back yard.)

The other option is Tuff Shed, but the bad thing is I'd have to have it painted every so often. (No vinyl siding option avail.) Anybody have a Tuff Shed? How does it hold up in Omaha's weather?

In 2026 is painting really a problem? I guess I would rather have better/stronger siding and (no vinyl) and paint it.

I recommend myself. Send me an email to [email protected] with your info (name, number, email) and we'll get started.

I'm a woodworker and builder, team of one with 20 years in Omaha. Sheds and greenhouses are some of my favorite genres among others like furniture, fences, decks, and more. I take a lot of pride in my work, my attention to detail is second to none, and I guarantee nobody can build you one better suited to survive Omaha's severe wind events. Plus you'll be supporting local as it gets. I love working on site and Ill work with you on design to ensure we get everything you want in your new shed. You picked the perfect time to start. Hope to hear from you soon!

I design wood component walls and roof trusses for a local lumber yard if you wanted to go that route. You would just need to hire a framer to put walls and trusses up.

C'mon, let's get this guy/gal a real eomahaforums welcome. Surely somebody can throw in a 10% eomaha discount for their shed.

Busguy and Habits might help you design and/or build it, but I'll also help you USE it. My free, custom service helps you use your new space to its fullest. Have a 10x8 shed but only fill it with a lawn mower and a few odds and ends? Sheds by Tuna™ will come fill your shed with more stuff so you can help justify its cost to your significant other and make your neighbors jealous of everything that fits in your shed. Design and build is okay, but post-construction support is my specialty!
