I had heard rumors about this last week, glad to see its true. I wish Creighton would get to play more of these games. (kinda hard to make it to an away Big East game with Milwaukee and Chicago being the closest places)

Hopefully Creighton can continue their dominance against IA (Jays have won 7 of last 10 and 4 of last 5)

Jays picked up another HS recruit in Trevon Carter-Givens, a 4 star recruit, who signed with NC State, but was given a release because their coach transferred. He is 6’11” but only 190 pounds. He’ll need to add some muscle, but he is an elite shot blocker and great around the rim.

The Jays training program did good work with Kalk, I'm sure they can get this guy bulking up, too!

Creighton signed 5'11" guard from Oakland that avg 17.7 pts and 6.7 assts last year. It would be his (Brody Robinson) final season of eligibility.

Also, heard a rumor that Fred King might be coming to CU for his final season.

Nice addition for Creighton, but I am a little surprised that he is willing to play his final season likely in a supporting role with limited minutes.

Jays got a commitment from the highest ranked recruit they have ever had today.

5’10” pg Micah Gordon who was ranked #28 in the nation.

She will definitely be the starting point guard next year he kind of reminds me of Mo Watson.

Heard that UNO beat CU in the scrimmage but that clearly isn’t true. As always, CU rolled them.

Nice article breaking down the NIL spending of NCAA basketball programs. Creighton is in Tier 4, somewhere between 31st-49th highest in D1 ($12.1m-15m) Iowa St and NE are in tier 5 and IA in tier 6.

College basketball's NIL arms race, from $5M to $25M+: Breaking down roster values, spending tiers for 2026-27

Dollar Beer Night Remains, at least for this season

MECA reverses course, agrees to cover one last year of Creighton basketball's $1 beer night
Forty-eight hours after Creighton announced a change to its fan appreciation night, doubling pregame beverages from $1 to $2, the group that operates CHI Health Center reversed course on the decision.

He was also at UNO's practice yesterday with Coach Crutchfield who was his assistant at Oregon. I could see him sticking around and helping out with both programs.

Trevon Carter-Givens certainly made an introduction last night. That second half was wildly entertaining - 15 steals in the game!

So, any guessing if Altman remains living in Oregon, or if, now that he is retired, he moved back to Omaha / Nebraska?

Carter Givens looked great last night especially for his first game ever. He looked like the best big out there and it wasn’t even close. Oswin was brought in to give us a shot-blocking presence but did nothing last night. Meanwhile Trevon had 4 of them and a few thunderous dunks as well. Still would love to see a lot more out of McAndrew and Traudt, they both seem to be the exact same as they have in past years with no development.

I tuned in until about 10min into the game and it was something like 39-6. I believe Rob Anderson posted the halftime score of 54-17 tied the all time scoring disparity. They're good scrimmages, but I'm looking forward to seeing how they respond to some actual adversity.

No the starters "played" some in the second half. None of them really did anything and the bench did absolutely nothing, which is why they only scored 29 in the 2nd half. McAndrew had a career high 19 pts but they were all in the 1st half. He only took one shot in the 2nd. Traudt looks horrible this year. He only played 12 mins and had 4 fouls and for the second game in a row, he hasn't scored. At this point, not sure he should be getting any min.
