Does anyone know what's going on at this site? Its the grassy lot directly to the south of the new Mattress Company Bar & Grill site (sorta under the overpass).

There's a Lund Ross trailer onsite, and they've got the ground all staked out. At first I thought this was just Matt (or whatever they're trying to call that place) construction stuff, but the surveying of the land leads me to believe that there may actually be something going in at this location....

The city owns it, its part of the Hilton Lot.

I was wondering about this also. CSI is the construction contractor for "The Matt" so it has nothing to do with that. There is a big pile of dirt, as the staked site has now been graded as well. If it were for a parking lot, or something similar, it wouldn't need a big construction trailer on site.

Permanent construction? That seems a little bizarre. What will happen to the site after Wall Street opens?

...and towers 3 & 4 on the Pinnacle site. It could be around for the next decade! Actually, I hear it will be sold and turned into The Old Sales and Marketing Center Bar & Grill

In record time, using pre-fab'd roof trusses, they've got the entire stick frame structure up for the sales office building.

Awww. A little touch of the suburbs right in Downtown Omaha. How whimsical. :;):

You got it, Streets! Looks like a slightly oversized ranch home so far. I am so hoping this isn't still around 10 years from now, unless it's being used to sell lots of condo towers. I don't get how a stick frame ranch home is a $2 million dollar sales center. I also don't get how it fits into the North Dowmtown scheme.

I don't think it's going to be a permanant structure.

Flash forward to 2017. Sadie and Bessie emerge from "The Matt" after an elegant dinner of seared scallops with quail egg and micro greens with a sugar snap pea vinaigrette, and an ancho chili aioli. Sadie starts the conversation....

Sadie....why Bessie, what is that boarded up building across the street?
Bessie...why Sadie, that was the old Sales and Marketing Center for the Wall Street Tower
Sadie....Gracious, Bessie, how did it come into such disrepair?
Bessie...Why Sadie, they sold all the units and left it sit to rot.
Sadie.....What a shame....such a historic part of our past!
Bessie....I agree Sadie, and you know what? Whne we get back to Seven Pines, Four Lakes, and Fred's Watermill at 298th and Fort, we're going to start a campaign to save the old Sales and Marketing Center!
Sadie.....Well said Bessie! Count me in!

Flash Forward to 2019. Sadie and Bessie emerge from "The Old Sales and Marketing Center Grill and Bar" after an elegant meal of poached alaskan wild caught salmon atop a bed of sauteed leek and green onion, with a Valentine, Nebraska home grown pino grigio wine foam.

Sadie.....I am so glad we saved this historic structure Bessie.
Bessie....Oh Mercy Sadie, so am I. Imagine, it could have become an Aldi's or something.
Sadie.....Funny though, doesn't it look just a bit like my rancher at Seven Pines, Four Lakes, and Fred's Watermill.
Bessie....For goodness sakes Sadie! That is just the 2012 Valentine Valley White Zin talking! This is a valuable part of the very fabric of North Downtown! Now let's hop on the streetcar and go over to Film Streams and catch a showing of "Evening Star" and then over to Slowdown. I think Stop Red Dead Counting Pigeons is the attraction tonight.
Sadie.....Oh I love thier new release "History is Tomorrow". Makes me cry every time I hear it.
Bessie....And where better to hear it than in a renovated historic warehouse building turned into an entertainment complex like Slowdown.
Sadie.....I agree!

Sadie and Bessie hop on Streetcar line J21-A and arrive in no time.

Sadie.....Can't wait for this!
Bessie....Hey Sadie, what is that over there?
Sadie.....Oh that is the Old Homewood Suites Hotel.
Bessie....Are you thinking what I am thinking Sadie??

Sadie smiles a knowing smile.
