Might not make a whole lot of sense but the construction is underway at the southeast corner of 168th & Dodge with signs up for a Taco John's (already one at 156th & Dodge???) and a Burger King. Don't know if anything else is going up there, might not be any room left.

Okay, I was aware of a dental office out parcel going in (at least that's what I thought it was) ... I didn't realize there was space for a Burger King and Taco John's.

They anounced the TJ's & BK a couple months ago. It's a deal going in by Simmonds RM. But, they're cramming them into that space by the Runza. I don't know how ppl will be able to flow in & out of there at all. but, I'm sure that land was a lot less expensive than land on the west side of VP.

Taco Johns and Amigos are both 10xbetter than Taco Bell, but why isn't Amigos opening in these new spots? Seems they are dropping the ball to me.

I agree on Amigo's. Seems like they have retreated from Omaha. I eat at the one on Dodge every chance I get. They used to have one off 90th and Fort but it changed to a Taco Bell a while ago.

I asked someone about this at their remaining 84th & Dodge location and she said the owner won't be building any more around Omaha. Wish that weren't the case because the Dodge location is screwed up beyond belief (how much was the kickback for that parking lot???) and the mall locations had food in my opinion that sucked. Guess I'm left to wait until I hit Lincoln every once in a while because there's one in every direction you turn your head.
