My question is: Who leaked that tape and who has been sitting on it for years? Were they holding on to it waiting for a vulnerable time to release it to the media?

Many people would love to find that answer. A Deadspin rep was interviewed by Damon this morning, apparently this person did not ask for money, but just wanted to (allegedly) damage the reputation of Pelini. He wanted his identity to be held in private, beyond that - nobody knows anything except people at Deadspin.

But the real problem is the Huskers always waste first down.....never more than 1-3 yards gained on 1st down 90% of the time. THAT, my friends is the problem.

Strange that any local news I folowed on Monday followed both and covered both. YOu must be stuck listing to only sports talk radio.

Disclaimer; I don't care one way or another, just enjoy watching a good train wreck.

The person that leaked the tape is dead man walking. He/she had 5 hours of glory and then husker fans circled the wagon. This person will have to move out of state cause husker fans will torch their house. Maybe the person that leaked this knew that and waited till they moved to leak it. They had to have either had one heck of an agenda or is a complete idiot.

Last I checked a lot of Husker fans live in Iowa, but I'm sure you'd be just as happy if they didn't support NU, based on your attitudes. Why would it bother you if someone from Iowa has an opinion on your hot-head hater of a coach anyway? It's pretty obvious that Bo cares about Bo (and may or may not care about the fans), I just have to wonder why Bo was even paying attention to fans in the stands and whether they were staying or going, instead of what his team was doing on the field. Does he really have that much time to worry about what's going on in the stands?

No, the local news at 10 (Ch 7). Newscast opened with 3 minutes on the Bo story (including a live report), followed by 30 seconds about the Washington shooting, followed by another 5 minutes of Bo, including another live report.

The old maxim "If it bleeds lt leads" does often times hold true, but in many cases scandal, particularly that of local interest, trump the murder and violence stories.

Fine. Here are the reasons why you should respect Bo, if at least just a little:

He has the utmost support and respect from current AND former players. That, in and of itself, tells you something.
He has recruited and lead a major division 1 football program completely within the framework of NCAA guidlines
He has won 9 or more games 5 years running - less than a handful of programs can boast that, currently
He can kick your @ss. The internet might not kick your |expletive|, but Bo could.

Bo's a damn good coach. Good enough to win a national championship, or even the B1G, maybe not. But good, nonetheless.

Believe it or not, I have complete respect for the job he has and what he has to endure along the way. The way he presents himself, however, leaves something to be desired (at least in my opinion, as well as many Husker fans), and this incident certainly doesn't help him in that cause. I will give him credit for owning up to his comments (his body language certainly suggested he was very uncomfortable in doing so). Obviously, the university admin now has complete trust in Bo and is looking ahead with him, so hopefully this will be the last we have to hear of it taking up 90% of the news lead.

You are probably correct, but I can't recall something local like this needing 2 live reports in under 10 minutes over a national story like the mass shooting (except when there's severe weather in the area and Jim Flowers has a mic in his hand) in a very long time.

Agree completly. It can be a long term recovery. THe point I was making is if things go weel with Armstrong there may not bee the same priorty on bringing him on the field at less than 100%

Turf Toe is an agonizing ailment and even for normal people it takes significant time to heal.. Martinez was plagued by the same thing ( High Ankle Sprain ) his freshman and sophomore year so he might just be banged up enough that if he sees any more playing time it will be towards the end of the season at the earliest.. I really do hope that Armstrong provides the consistent play that would allow this offense to click finally this year..

It was a load of |expletive|, and should not have been called. That said, it was hilariously ironic, as Kenny Bell was "shushing" his own fans. (for those who don't watch football, that is normally something the visiting does to opposing fans)

Either way, not a damn coach on the sideline was mad, and the B1G catch of the year was made.

Oh yeah, and it was a complete game, start to finish, by the Huskers. I'll take that game any day.

The more I watch Tommy Armstrong run this Offense the more it seems obvious that Tmagic was merely holding us back and most likely the reason why we've consistently lost big time games.. Very excited for next year since it seems likely that will the first year Bo puts together strong showings on both sides of the ball.. 8)
