Yeah I think many people did....he was the one guy that everyone thought was gone, not Nembhard.

Still think we have some great replacements, although not fully proven in the Big East.

I think Art wants to be "the man" and on last year's team, many times he was the 5th man. There were a few games in Feb where he only scored 2 pts and acted so dis-interested. If I remember correctly I think he even got benched in the Marquette game after scoring on a dunk a few seconds into the game (then preceding to do nothing else the whole time on the court)

Right. There were games he seemed to disappear completely..

I think Kaluma will do well somewhere where they play more iso-ball. Creighton has a great system, but don't think he fit it completely. I wish him well also.

Iowa is playing at Creighton this year. Can’t wait for this game. I have so many friends that are Iowa fans and can’t wait to blow them out like we did last time in Des Moines.

Men's Basketball To Host Iowa in Gavitt Tipoff Games
Nov. 14 meeting will be first between Bluejays and Hawkeyes since 2011

NEW YORK – The BIG EAST and Big Ten Conferences have announced the matchups for the eighth Gavitt Tipoff Games, with eight men's basketball contests set for Nov. 13-17, 2023. Creighton will host Iowa on Nov. 14, 2023 in the first meeting between the schools since 2011, and first tangle in Omaha since 1999. The contest will be nationally televised on FS1, with game times will be announced at a later date.

Based on the story in the OWH today as well, still makes it sound as if Kalk will more than likely be coming back, Trey on the other hand is still weighing his options. Of course nothing is final, but they need to make a decision by Wednesday next week.

Ryan Kalkbrenner announced Monday he will return to Creighton for his senior basketball season. The Bluejays center participated in the NBA Draft Combine, but maintained his college eligibility. Kalkbrenner averaged almost 16 points, more than 6 rebounds and two blocks per game in the 2022-23 season. He was a First Team All-Big East selection.

Kalkbrenner was also a finalist for the following awards: Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award for National Center of the Year, Naismith Defensive Player of the Year and the Lefty Driesell Award .

If Trey comes back, the Jays are pretty much right back on course to be a top 3 team in the Big East- which currently, is the best conference in all of college basketball..

And who knows, maybe even Art gets his head right and portals right back to CU…

CreighTakes is still sticking to his/her guns and saying Trey's coming back. Between Kalk and Trey I thought it would be Kalk to stay in the draft so I've got no insight here whatsoever.

Still no word on Kaluma either. Although, as previously mentioned, he isn't coming back to CU.
