Aksarben Village and Village Pointe are both still not finished.

Here is what Aksarben Village looked like 19 years ago when construction first started and yet there are still several prime lots available in the development.
I remind people in Bellevue about that all the time when they are worried that Bellevue Bay is going to take up all the farmland and be so close to the neighborhood. AV and VP are both in much more prime locations and they still aren't funny built out nearly 20 years later.

More construction coming to Crossroads redevelopment
KETV wrote:More construction is coming to the Crossroads redevelopment, with Woodbury Corporation announcing Wednesday that work on a new multifamily and retail project will begin next month.

The project is planned for Block B along Cass Street and is part of the developer's broader two-year plan for the site.

Another major piece of the redevelopment is already under construction on Block J, next to Target.

Aside from a few lots at the very far west end (almost to 180th St) of VP that will likely be hotel/office, the majority of the retail portion along with the entertainment side has been finished for probably over 10-15 years. They've actually torn up parking lot to put in a Cheddar's which took away from the little parking they actually have. They're also supposedly talking about tearing up more property in front of Best Buy to put in that Hallmark-owned retail building (if that's still on the table). So, I'd say for the most part, Village Pointe's available real estate is limited.

Aksarben Village started off strong, but seems to have slowed considerably, but that's still quite filled in. Crossroads took a decade or more to get to dirt - I'm for the progress, but from a realist perspective, until things are vertical, it's difficult to consider things a "done deal" with that place.

But the current Developer has only been on the project for less than 2 years.

I understand the old developer didn't do anything for a decade and then he passed away. But if you want this to be successful, its time to stop complaining about the former developers lack of progress and get behind the new developer who is moving forward.

Looks like the old existing garage is going away?

Also, one of the renderings that I saw shows the Lego store across from Gamescape. Did they actually announce their intent to come to Crossroads?

Yes, redeveloping the old garage is the plan. And, no other retail tenants beyond Gamescape have been annouced.
