Brad, if you haven’t taken photos from there, it’s an excellent vantage point!
Which parking Garage?
North
At the airport? That's the only garage I have heard to referred to as "North", but that seems like a really expensive place to ride out a storm compared to the garages downtown.
Yes, sorry I wasn’t clearer. It was only $6, well worth it for the view.

Some fantastic rains last evening into this morning. Well over an inch where I live and almost no wind. Took our dog for our morning walk and several sections of the park where we walk were still underwater 3 hours after the rain stopped.

At 4:30 AM today I dumped 0.8" out of my gauge from overnight. Had some wind but that is about it other than the rain

A beneficial rain. Without the severe weather. I know some parts of the metro including Fremont had some high winds.

Been pretty humid out the last few days. Not a huge fan of this sticky weather. Looks pretty warm for at least the next week.

The rain this morning is much welcomed. Not a huge amount but things were starting to dry out a little. Glad we got it before the next heatwave. Which starts tomorrow.

A decent rain with no high winds last night. I’m hoping we are done with severe storms this summer, it was 2 years ago today that we had the severe destructive thunderstorms with the greenish sky.

Had 1.5" in Gretna overnight.

Where I work in Fremont, many said there was a LOT of wind last night.

We had maybe a few 20-30 mph gust but that was it. I don't consider winds high until around 50 and we didn’t have anything close to 50.

Crazy to think that most of the metro got more rain last night than the previous 40 days combined.

Now the temperature tonight is just a thing of beauty. 11 o'clock and 67 degrees, PLUS 30mph winds. It legitimately was chilly! I know they only calculate windchill at temps below 50, but there sure is a chill in the air. Probably feels way less than 67.

Feeling amazing. I cant wait for fall and winter.

A few years back we had an extreme swing in mid July where our lows dipped into the 40s. That was heaven.

What a surprise that was. Bill was pretty darn sure that storm wasn't gonna happen. Looks like the temperature will holld down nicely. Was forecast 86, now I doubt we'll even get 80

It actually got up to 83 before the storm hit.

But that storm yesterday was not very welcome to a lot of people. It caused the airshow to be cancelled, MAHA to be delayed multiple times, and over 500 tubers getting stuck on the Elkhorn River and needing rescue crews from multiple agencies. One person almost drowned and is in critical condition.

I was planning to go to the drive-in outside of Fremont and wasn't sure if it would still be nice enough. We ultimately ended up going, but it was not as warm as I had wanted. But we got a cool light show during the movie on the screen facing east and seeing all the storms spin up just northeast of there and go through Blair.

They really messed up that one. Bill for sure, despite the model showing a huge blob of a thunderstorm, insisted over and over the model was fulla |expletive|. I heard Bo Fogle was also downplaying the potential. We basically got everything they insinuated may be a 10% chance. But boy, like you mentioned, a lot of people got their day screwed up in no small way. We got about just as much as that model suggested. I wasnt mad about it though, I didnt make any plans. It was just so surprising, when I went to the basement to do laundry, it was just a regular high clouds looking day, and I came up just a handful of minutes later and it was dark enough for the street lights to come on. I listened to the local meteorologists, and I hadnt checked the radar at all since they were so sure.
