Its crazy how quick the turnover is for new NFL Stadiums. That one is only 26 years old and especially considering they're the smallest NFL fan base, and they suck, I'm a bit surprised they're building a new stadium there and not jumping to a new city.

While I live in Memphis now, I’m not a Titan’s fan. Are they the smallest fanbase? Nashville/Tennessee are both well populated and even though they suck, I believe they still pack the stadium or close to it, they aren’t moving. The bigger issue here is that it’s an economic play for super bowls, final fours and whatever shows/concerts/events can be imagined. Nashville keeps booming, giving the ATL a run for its money as a hub for the south.

heck, if I knew the Titans were already leveraging the city of Nashville after only 26 years, If I was OKC, I'd be chomping at the bit to bring them in. Shoot, any sort of mid-major city that could stretch to fit in the AFC South. Dare I say, Omaha? I kid, but its a fun thought. If Nashville can do it I dont see any reason Omaha couldn't. But those chips have fallen, obviously. I'd have to believe Peyton Manning would be involved in the team in some capacity.

I shoot you, name ideas?

Omaha Super Cells? Omaha Frontiersmen? Omaha Sharpshooters (an ode to local and historical hunters)? Omaha Bombers? Omaha Railers? Omaha Omaha? No, "THE Omaha". They'd have to be careful with it, but that would actually show respect to the people that were here first. No worse than the Chiefs. That would be an interesting right down the road rivalry.

I looked it up. They're the smallest "Fanbase". My guess is thats based on the number of people that actually care about the team, rather than the number of people that live in that city and region. In contrast, Green Bay is the smallest city in the NFL, and yet the Packers have the biggest fanbase.

I agree, its more of an economic tool. We'll see how that pans out. But that they footed that much of the bill tells me there was quite a lot of bargaining going on, and I'd bet the Titans were using leaving as leverage.

Just speculating cities/fanbases that would have picked up that bill and had supported the team with equal enthusiasm.

I was speaking more in a broad hypothetical sense, not looking for real world answers, as it clearly isn't happening. Have some fun. We all saw how Omaha showed up and showed out when we had the Nighthawks. The Chiefs aren't immune to a Patriots-like fall of the cliff, so I could imagine there would be enough excitement in and around Omaha-based Chiefs fans to convert some Chiefs fans to Omaha. All hypothetical.
