Sorry I shouldn't have posted it in the Market Pointe thread, because technically the Sam's Club and Hobby Lobby are in the Settlers Creek development. Market Pointe is just to the north.

Didn't know exactly where to put this since it mentions both Settler's Creek and Market Pointe, but it looks like we are getting another Jersey Mike's and Chipotle (completion of November 2014).
72nd Street corridor ‘hot spot’ for Papillion development
- Metro Health Services Credit Union is building south of Walgreens. (Construction beginning next year)
- Mattress Firm and a dental office are building on the southeast corner of 72nd and Giles. (Completion scheduled for end of 2014)

A free-standing fast-food restaurant also was planned for an adjacent vacant lot, but the development’s original agreement with the city limited the number of fast-food restaurants in the shopping center to a maximum of three or 550,000 square feet.....Does that mean that the maximum three fast food restaurants could be a little over 183,000 square feet in size each?

Pretty sure that was written wrong. I am guessing they meant 50,000 sq ft.OmahaOmaha wrote:A free-standing fast-food restaurant also was planned for an adjacent vacant lot, but the development’s original agreement with the city limited the number of fast-food restaurants in the shopping center to a maximum of three or 550,000 square feet.....Does that mean that the maximum three fast food restaurants could be a little over 183,000 square feet in size each?

Yes, this is from the story on August 8, 2014:Brad wrote:There are other buildings in there besides the Walgreens, Hobby Lobby, and Sams?skinzfan23 wrote:Drove by yesterday and the Chipotle sign is up on the building closest to 72nd and Cornhusker.skinzfan23 wrote:Didn't know exactly where to put this since it mentions both Settler's Creek and Market Pointe, but it looks like we are getting another Jersey Mike's and Chipotle (completion of November 2014).
Its on the land where "Pad A" is listed, although the orientation of the building is different. The building faces south instead of the shown east.Settler’s Creek developer Lerner Co. began construction Tuesday on a 12,600-square-foot retail strip center at the corner of 72nd Street and Cornhusker Road, and another building of the same size is planned north of the first one.

Interesting. Doesn't seem like its been that long since I have been that way, but may be it has. I usually end up on 84th and not 72nd.

Read in the paper yesterday that the Chipotle is having a grand opening on March 12. They are hiring 30 people for the store. It will be their 6th Omaha area store.

Jersey Mike's subs has opened two bays down from Chipotle in the strip center on the southwest corner of Sam's club.

Pie Five is opening soon next to Jersey Mike's. Their sign is up now. This will be their second Omaha area location.

Re: Settlers Creek (NEC 72 & Cornhusker)
I think it will do well there. There is one in Bellevue straight down Cornhusker but this will be far enough away that it should have no problem.

We have some here that are what many would say are "typical" and some that are larger.
