If the storage building is going to be what I think it is, they sometimes aren't too bad looking from an architectural standpoint.:

Storage buildings belong in industrial areas. Whey do not belong in a retail corridor. That lot should be retail, office, or residential. Has anyone seen how horrific that storage building looks on center street around 52 or so?

So you are in favor of mixed uses as long as it doesn't include light industrial? Who cares if it looks nice. Half of the retail centers on this corridor look like A$$ anyway.

Ah, the old, "next door looks like |expletive| so why shouldnt I?" argument. It has its persuasiveness but assures that the city looks like heck forever. New codes are in place to make things better, even if there is still a lot of |expletive| out there.

The picture you are referring too looks decent, but it is still dead space. There is no retail, nothing that attracts people. The could move this 3 blocks off the main drag and I would not oppose it.
