I'm not sure...couldn't see from Pacific, but imagine if you can get over there w/in the next few days (post snow) then you might be able to see what's left...

Just kind of weird it's gone and wondering what they're going to do there and where the other mansion inside of Regency was at...

I bet both will be replaced with 2 or 3 homes! Sad!

I just drove by yesterday and didn't notice anything different. But then again it was snowing and I was watching the road. I live nearby and will try to trudge down to a vantage point and look.

It stood the tests of time. It survived several owners, several fires, several blizzards, 9 presidents, and the expansion of a city beyond it's back yard out another 5 or so miles. But the Witherspoon Mansion is no more. Torn down in the middle of our Christmas Blizzard. Talk about burying unpopular news.

ONE home on that huge lot? After they have torn out all of the improvements. Tennis court: gone. Winding brick driveway: gone. Huge pool: gone. Huge trees: ripped out.
Rich people can be such douches.

The replacement sounds like a glorified ranch. I can't imagine how it will be proportioned to the site.

There are steel columns going up on the location of the original Witherspoon house.

Interesting construction. Now there is steel and pre-fab concrete panels.

It looks nearly complete. A pretty modern design and it is considerably smaller than the old place.

Also they are not keeping the land furthest to the east, it is a different lot now.

I have an appreciation for a wide variety of architectural styles, but that thing is hideous! It looks like a Fastenal. The garage even looks like a loading dock!

Drama in Regency. They put in a large piece of modern art on their property against the wishes of the rest of the neighborhood that voted and said they don't want it. Lawyers getting involved.

Honestly, I like the 15 foot tall Big Chair sculpture. Because it distracts your eyes from the POS house.

I might be in a minority of one here, but I like that house.
