I love useless green space. I'm glad they are spending all that money on a brick patio with nothing to look at or do on it.

One of those little fountains they sell for peoples' gardens at home depot would even make his look better.

Or perhaps another, slightly larger fountain, so they get a nice two-level effect with a little path running down the middle.

Wow. Extremely lame. It doesn't even sound like an improvement on what was there before - ie. a large brick walking area with their company logo on a sign.

What I don't get, is that I witnessed workers installing two large water tanks... Are they preparing to "one day" have a fountain... strange.

i didn't have an opportunity to read the article yet, so forgive me if this is way off base...but could they possibly be doing a buried fountain like that at the base of the pedestrian bridge?

That is still so just meh. Downtown could stand for a few fountains and this is the perfect spot to start up a trend.

I am guessing that they figured paying to run 3 fountains on the campus is enough.

I was just thinking that. If there could be just a line of brick buildings (storefronts) across 10th Street from the Old Market, then it would look more "urban" along there. There wouldn't be such a contrast between historic buildings of the Old Market and a suburban style, leafy office-park campus, right across the street. I'm not sure if there really is room for that, though.
