Liquor license request, still under Goldenrod.

Liquor license was approved by the City Council today! Getting closer. Our new ETA is around May 1st.

Interesting that they got the license under Golden Rod? Won't they need to re-apply for a new license when they change names?

I drove by Fanrnam House last night after the forum meet. They painted the room a nice warm yellow color and construction was under way on the west side by the old kitchen.

The inaugural batch of Farnam House beer has been brewed at the Nebraska Brewing Company, they expect to open in June.

I was told they may take down the Tommy Colina sign and put up their new a Farnam House sign this week.

I had lunch (and two beers) there last Saturday. I will describe it as a work in progress. The food was good, but the menu is tiny. And the beer menu is equally tiny. Only one of the seven beers available on tap was house brewed.
Prices are more than fair. Service was okay.
The bar on the east side of the dining room really looks, well, cheap, IMO.

Tomorrow is International IPA Day and Farnam House will have their Belgian IPA (16oz/$3.00) on tap all day in celebration of this special feast day!

This is sad news but I seen this coming after they announced the kitchen would be closing a few weeks back. I'll have to stop in this week for a few pints before they close the doors

sad news, but not surprising. I'd tried to go there a few times and their hours had been sporadic for months. Went there for a Union Omaha event for a few hours and they had closed the kitchen by 6pm that day. Sounds like there was help issues back then, and that was during the Spring. Not having Mutual people around probably hurt as I know some would go there for lunch at times.
