South Orange, N.J. -- Despite taking a 2-0 lead in the second, Creighton Baseball fell to Seton Hall 4-2 on Saturday, May 13. The loss was the Bluejays' sixth consecutive defeat, falling to 23-21 on the season and 9-8 in BIG EAST action. Seton Hall climbed to 27-22 on the season and 9-8 in conference play.

South Orange, N.J. -- Creighton Baseball suffered an 11-6 defeat on Sunday, May 14 as the Bluejays were swept by Seton Hall over the weekend. The loss moved Creighton to 23-22 on the season and 9-9 in BIG EAST action, while Seton Hall climbed to 28-22 overall and 10-8 in conference play.

The Bluejays close out the 2023 regular season with four home games next weekend. Creighton hosts Omaha in its annual Cox Kids Game at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, then begins a three-game series with No. 9 Connecticut at Charles Schwab Field on Thursday at 6:00 p.m.

Gbur's Blast Walks Off Omaha Before 7,368 Fans

Ben Gbur homered in the seventh inning to tie it, then blasted a walkoff homer in the ninth to win it as Creighton Baseball posted a 4-2 win over Omaha in front of a season-high 7,398 fans on Cox Kids Day at Charles Schwab Field Omaha.

Creighton closes the regular-season this weekend with a home series against No. 9 Connecticut, beginning on Thursday at 6 p.m. in a game that will be nationally televised by FS1.

Baseball Hosts #9 Connecticut in Regular Season Finale

With a bid to the BIG EAST Tournament on the line for the Bluejays, Creighton Baseball hosts #9 Connecticut in the final weekend series of the 2023 regular season. The series is set to begin on Thursday night at 6:00 p.m. on FS1.

Bluejay Baseball Hangs On To Defeat #9 Connecticut, 7-6, In Series Opener

After racing out to an 6-0 lead, the Creighton Baseball team had to fend off a ninth inning rally to claim a 7-6 win over ninth ranked Connecticut in the series opener on Thursday, May 18. The win was Creighton's first over a top-10 ranked team since the Bluejays took down fifth ranked Wichita State, 7-3, on April 12, 2008. The victory moved the Bluejays a game and a half in front of Georgetown for fourth in the BIG EAST standing at 10-9 and also lifted Creighton to 25-22 on the season. Ninth ranked Connecticut, meanwhile, fell to 38-13 on the season and 13-5 in conference play.

Creighton and Connecticut continue their three-game set on Friday, May 19 with first pitch scheduled for 6 p.m.

#9 Connecticut Rallies To Upend Baseball, 6-3
Huskies score four runs in 8th inning to move into first place

No. 9 Connecticut scored four runs in the eighth inning to rally for a 6-3 win over host Creighton on Friday evening at Charles Schwab Field Omaha. The victory moved the Huskies (39-13, 14-5 BIG EAST) into first place in the BIG EAST and prevented Creighton (25-23, 10-10 BIG EAST) from clinching a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament heading into Saturday's regular-season finale. Creighton will host Connecticut on Saturday at Noon on BEDN, starting at the same time that Xavier (33-21, 14-6 BIG EAST) hosts Georgetown (28-24, 9-10 BIG EAST) in another matchup with massive implications.

Baseball Season Ends as UConn Wraps Up BIG EAST Title
Creighton finishes 25-24 overall

The 2023 Creighton Baseball season came to an end on Saturday as the Bluejays lost 10-0 to No. 9 Connecticut and Georgetown picked up a 6-5 win at Xavier. The combination of those two scores not only clinched a third straight BIG EAST regular-season title for the Huskies, but also helped the Hoyas secure the fourth and final spot in next week's BIG EAST Championships Presented by JEEP.
