Here's why the Chiefs could make it a 3-peat

NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus joins 'Squawk on the Street' to discuss the quality of performance of the Super Bowl, whether a three-peat for the Kansas City Chiefs is likely, and how much Brock Purdy will be eligible for when it's time to renegotiate his contract.

Fu*k the Chiefs. I respect em, but fu*k em.

I say they won on yet another Kyle Shanahan blunder.

If Detroit didn't shoot their own foot, they would have beat these Chiefs. Big deal.

Not now. I used to, but they're ruining the parity of the league atm.

This year, Detroit got its first playoff win since 1992. I know Lions fans were excited about that. On a disappointing note, I was hoping the Seahawks would make the playoffs this year, but they didn't.

The other day Dan Campbell (Lions HC) said something along the lines of "we are going to win the super bowl next year". Got me fired up.
I dont doubt what that man says. Repped my Lions gear today. Out of place for sure, but it's a new season at this point.

It would be crazy to have a Lions vs Patriots Super Bowl, for me personally. I have much more faith in the Lions, which is a complete paradox to me. Probably wouldn't happen, but ya never know.

Somebody start a 2024 NFL season thread?

For me, an interesting Super Bowl matchup would be the Chiefs vs. the Seahawks.

I’m a Cowboys fan..and I absolutely hate the SF 49ers with a firey passion from he!l. So I am very happy to see their season go down in flames once again. Don’t want them to get their 6th Super Bowl win before the Cowboys do..

The Chiefs have a generational best QB of all time type playing for them. They’re going to be a tough out as long as he’s wearing a Chiefs uniform…

I really hope he gets the three-peat, something Brady and the Hoodie never did.

People already calling Mahomes the GOAT... Tom Brady is an inspiration to me. Hate him all you want, but he was doubted over and over, picked 199, 4th string QB and ended up being the greatest of all time. There's no debate. I'll be willing to talk about it when he has 6 rings with the Chiefs... Even then I'm not convinced cause he'll have to change teams and win another one in his first season and dominate the "next GOAT" while he's at it.

I'll bet lots of people doubted Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Troy Aikman and Peyton Manning at one time. It's only natural.

A three-peat would put him in the same category as Brady as far as I’m concerned, they would be Co-Goats. Right now I still think Brady has more accomplishments than Mahomes, mainly because he played longer. But a three-peat would be truly remarkable and historic. If anyone can get it it’s Mahomes.

A 3 peat definitely would be remarkable. But still, Tom Brady is in a league of his own. We can talk about Mahomes climbing the ladder for sure. I would say he already has the accolades to be considered #2, over Manning, Montana. He even still has to get one more to match Montana, and there's a whole lot more rungs to climb to reach Brady. PLUS he has to get injured for a year, AND he has to pilot TWO dynasties, AND he has to do it with ANOTHER TEAM.

Mahomes is great, and the Chiefs are a dynasty for sure, but Mahomes is absolutely nowhere near GOAT status... YET. I'm not saying he won't get there, but he's not even halfway there and there's some people claiming he's already climbed the mountain and kicked Brady off. Pfff. It's a long way up buddy.

You never know what could happen. I remember some 10 years ago when everybody was droning on and on about Rodgers being the next GOAT, coming off their Super Bowl win, I think two MVP seasons if not consecutive then within three seasons... and how many Superbowls had he won since? 0. How many did he go to? 0. Brady on the other hand? Won 4 of 5 with two teams. Tom brady has literally TWO greatest of all time careers in one. No matter how you split it. Mahomes is the Mutual of Omaha tower present day. Tom brady is the finished building. We'll see if Mahomes gets there, but like I said, it's a long way up.

And there's the argument he's had 3 HOF worthy careers as well: https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story ... riots-bucs

I always loved that story. Well done. It's crazy the names each 7 year period stacks up against their full careers. Tom Brady nearly matched or surpassed the career numbers with the likes of Warren Moon, Troy Aikman, Aaron Rodgers, John Elway, Joe Montana, Dan Marino, Brett Favre, Terry Bradshaw, Peyton Manning and Steve Young in ANY GIVEN ONE THIRD of his career! It's frickin mind blowing. And then he played one more season after that was written and guess who led the league in passing? TOM FN' BRADY. So I just think it's totally asinine people are really saying Mahomes is about ready to turn that corner. Who kept Mahomes from winning two more Super Bowls? Tom Brady. Who won those two Super Bowls? Tom Brady. There's just no argument as of today.

I actually saw it unfold as I had it on in the background. At this point, I wanna say it's a dam shame we can't have anything nice, but as of right now, it doesn't sound like a terroristic attack. Two suspects, only one dead, leads me to believe it was just an altercation in a large group of people. At least that's my hope. If it was a deliberate terroristic attack, it had capacity to be much, much worse.

NFL network just reported there's up to 22 injured with gunshot wounds, per KCPD. And 8 or so in extremely critical condition. That changes everything. So sad.

Wouldn’t be surprised if they win it again next year, they do away with the parade and do something inside Arrowhead instead with ramped up security. Almost impossible to guarantee safety with a million people at a parade. Always a few nuts out there.

I think we will know long before then. Let's see what the NHL, NBA and MLB do in the meantime. I don't think it will come to fruition, It certainly didn't stop the Boston Marathon. I don't think suddenly big open gathers in the US will come to a stop because of yesterday.

Okay, great news, it wasn't a terroristic attack. It has recently been identified as "stemming from a dispute between several people". That doesn't change anything for those who got shot, but this wasn't a "mass shooting" in the typical sense. Crazy that there is a "typical sense".

What a terrible take. It was still a mass shooting and some is dead. Not sure how the fact it wasn’t terrorism makes it “great news”…

Maybe that didn't sound right, but we have found out it was a lesser of two evils. Not premeditated, it was a random act of violence between parties and everyone was caught up in the crossfire. It wasn't an attack like we all feared it was, which in my mind is a small positive in a very unfortunate event.

Yeah just the whole thing is idiotic. Will be interesting as more details emerge. Assuming the juveniles will be tried as adults.

absolutely ridiculous and horrible. I'm glad the person didn't commit suicide and was arrested so they can rot in jail for the rest of their life...but will never bring the dead back, or make those kids feel not afraid.
