After an opening line about how going to Omaha to get a steak is like going to Chicago for deep dish, they review/mention several popular, local restaurants with an all-around positive view towards the Omaha dining offerings along with a comparison of Benson to Chicago's Logan Square. Included establishments are:

Steak from steak country. Omaha offers succulent brawn in venues that range from the hushed upscale (V. Mertz) to the unfussy historic (Johnny's Cafe) to the frozen-in-a-Midwestern-time-vacuum (The Drover).

I came across a teaser article on NYT earlier this week and they said they were going to highlight one of 5 cities for their startup communities this week they were some of the usuals like Portland, Boston and DC, but Omaha was on the list as well. I cannot seem to find the page I was on before to see if the article on Omaha is up yet. I have searched and looked back at my history and can't seem to find it, just keep an eye out for it I was looking forward to reading it and should of bookmarked the page.

No wonder I couldn't find it. It was from WSJ. Well there are multiple articles about Omaha and Lincoln startups.

Seriously though could have done without the Omaha bashing at the end, we have come so far but still have some work to do.

I was talking to a friend from Philly who worked here for 3 years and moved about a year ago and told him about everything going on with Benson and how its becoming its own bar district and he was estatic and saying how Omaha could go up against any city (outside of NYC, LA and Chicago of course) in terms of nightlife and things to do.

Of course the rest of the state doesn't help but thats another topic for another day :lol:

Really great question. Back in the day, when people felt shame, acts like hers would be enough to drop off the face of the planet socially. Now, she gets notoriety.

How about a new proposal?

1. We agree that she is officially from CB.
2. We don't ever talk about her again after making this pact.
3. In the future, when someone else does some dumb self-destructive act, we will afford them stoney silence and not speak or type their name until a sufficient act of contrition and self-repair was done.
