I saw a video from an office across from the Woodman repelled down off ropes from 2/3 of the way up from a window washing platform during the outage.

That’s an improvement, it used to say “O a a”

While the Woodmen still suffers from a light stroke(perhaps construction related), I'm wondering if the utility upgrades are perhaps having an unexpected benefit?

On an evening walk I noticed that The Orpheum Tower had a few cornice lights illuminated! I don't recall ever seeing this before. It looks to be completely random and the one on the west side goes off and then briefly on. (second pic)

What a shame and missed opportunity that most of these historic buildings with ornate rooflines remain in the dark. Imagine if 16th St and the Howard St/Flatiron adjacent structures were all lit in unison.

I recall before Jean left office she said they had a plan for revitalizing 16th St. I have to wonder if that's still in play and if so does it entail more than successive office to residential conversions by Heistand/Nustyle?

That and what the heck was the "tower district"!?

Unfortunately, the east side of the Woodman is still dark.

Yes and CHI, as usual, doesn’t have the blue led light working on the arena part. Hasn’t been for months.

I was under the impression utility work is the culprit here, particularly in the case of the Woodmen, but now I'm wondering if there's another issue.

During one of the uncut segments yesterday on Grow Omaha. I asked the executive editor from the Omaha World-Herald if there’s any way, they can just flip the breaker on the old Omaha World-Herald sign and just shut it off. The sign still looks good at night even with no lights on it. It would look better with no lights as opposed to half the lights that work now…

I caught that. That would be a good idea and then they don’t have to worry about letters being out.

Yes, they do.

Maybe I should have said "repair" instead of "upgrade". They've both had letters or part of their sign out for some time.

Hmm...

Ok, wow...I don't know exactly when this occurred but both signs had lights out for some time.

I now yield to Brad's idea on the OWH signage and the CHI lights.
